Muerto Moon

This thread is hilarious thanks for the entertainment but honestly safe servers were a thing and it worked out great except for those that wanted to attack a group of looters in a cave, I just don't understand why you'd want to "fix" something that wasn't broken it just doesn't seem all that logical.

Stephen you come and play with us on tormenta where we are minding our own business and have the mercy guild come and wipe the whole crew out by standing way far away and throwing nades. Ruins the whole spirit of the game. Like I said, they are wimps to pick on people not participating in muerto and I know many who are going off line during muerto because of this.
If this is all true then I wonder if stephen has something to do with not having safe servers.

now we shouldn't point fingers or play the blame game, but rather focus on making Muertos better and more enjoyable for the entire community.

Something needs to be done. Either make muerto every six hours, or safe servers, or only 15 minutes of Muerto. Or possibly closing off caves to the zombies. It is really interfering with those that do not wish to participate and it isn't just a handful of people. There has already been talk of people not playing the game like they use to and this is increasing that happening. Now if I go to tortuga and hide out till Muerto starts and then come outside during Muerto Moon and get killed, that is my own fault. But to sneak up on people inside caves and I mean big groups grinding at bosses and wiping out the group - that is an entirely different situation. Very immature. Stephen is your answer that if we don't like it to just not play during every holiday you bring Muerto out? I played in Potco, I don't remember having this trouble back then. If you wanted to participate you joined in... don't remember much problem being in caves and people sneaking up.

I must be in the minority looking at this thread, maybe it is my tendency to self-isolate when looting on quiet servers, but I have never had this issue with people coming and killing me. Granted, I do not loot bosses much, but I really do not see much of an issue with Muertos.

Pvp is pretty crapty if you aren't in Mercy, as really no one actually plays it much, with the population of the game ever dwindling, I do not think having 1 weekend of semi-disrupted looting is hurting anyone, unless you are genuinely annoyed that you die and spend a whole 3 minutes travelling / teleporting back to where you were prior.

I say all this as a looter. I get that it is annoying, but it is a game at the end of the day, and even if you find yourself being targeted by Mercy when they raid boss spots, then maybe go somewhere else like gold room. I know a lot of people perceive them as trolls, but for the majority of the time out of the year pvp players basically spend all of their time on Tortuga doing jack crap playing the odd game of pvp that comes along, however us looters have 365 days a year to stand still clicking on the same enemy for 8 hours a day.

Once again, I know this genuinely annoys some people, but in my opinion, it is being blown out of proportion. The one gripe I do have with Muertos is that people who are levelling and questing who are sub-level 50 are being targeted as well, and it just makes them not want to play and quit, because not only do they not have a choice to participate, but they cannot defend themselves, ultimately this is just pathetic from people that do this to levelling players. Unlike these looters (who it should be realized, have some of the best items in the game with which to defend themselves)

EDIT: I feel it necessary to say that the attitude that has been circulating as regards to people that hold "power positions" in the community is also pretty cheap. It is not acceptable when a moderator or dev or whoever, says to someone who is genuinely concerned, something along the lines of "get over it." There are many parties that are at-fault, and this event seems to bring out the worst in the community, as this process of throwing shade at each other is a waste of time and not conducive to actual constructive feedback about the event.

TL;DR; - Looters need to take the loss on the chin and let the event pass.
- Pvp players need to stop killing new players who are levelling and don't even know what is going on, much less try to defend themselves.

I agree to this. Honestly I feel I'm wasting my time at the moment but here I am typing this anyways. In my opinion you guys who classify yourselves as "looters" are blowing this way out of proportion. I get it your upset someone killed you in a cave. The thing is some of you have the best weapons in TLOPO yet you choose not to use them. You act like your not being notified that it's coming. It clearly states EVERY HOUR but only happens every other (Even for CST odd for EST). Just set a trap or make something fun out of it. It's been an entire weekend here and all I've seen is complaints here and nothing being changed so that kinda tells me it's not going to. You got 1 day left make the best of it. Or sit here complaining for nothing to happen in the end besides what is already happening.
In the end this is solemnly my opinion of this thread up to this point. Also I do believe the Mods/ Devs are taking feedback for the NEXT time. They usually do but I can't confirm this.

If we’re going to talk about it, let’s get some basic information correct. First, there are currently no safe servers or safe zones. Secondly, the safe servers would not be hard to implement as they were coded in the last Muertos Moon. Third, having safe servers does not impede the play on Muertos active servers. Finally, safe servers allows those who do not want to play a pvp game, for WHATEVER REASON, to play as they normally would.
