Muetros Moon: Excited or Not?

:ahoy:Ahoy mates! It's been a while since I said that! So Halloween is around and spooks and ghouls are abound! (Didn't mean to rhyme). Pirates are dancing like zombies and Jolly seems more frightening. Its a great time of year for any pirate. Some even wait for the special event, The Muetros Moon (hope that's how you spell it).
But as always I want to share some thoughts on the this spooky event. I don't really by into the hype. Sure it's fun but it only lasts three minutes because its an all out slaughter-fest. And if your the last man (or woman) standing? Then your reward for your skills (or hiding ability) is being tackled by every pirate on that island and killed in 3 seconds!
I find myself to personally not like this event because it has so much potential! Jolly has cursed all the pirates! Shouldn't we do something? Like a QUEST?
Think about it, how cool would it be if instead of being cursed, we fight Jolly to avoid the curse? If there are the die-hard Muetros Moon fans out there, perhaps you have to be cursed to fight Jolly (to make an illusion to CotBP).
Perhaps there can be a boss fight in Raven's Cove where you fight Jolly and his generals. I always thought it would be cool to see Jolly at Raven's Cove. There go hand in hand.
So am I wrong here? Do you love Muetros Moon the way it is? Or do you agree with me that it is over-hyped but has potential to be something great? Post below your ideas below.
I hope to add more Halloween articles and I even have a good ghost tale for you all in store so stay tuned!

it has much potential if u mix it with the invasions XD and im all for johns idea if it gives me infamy im excited if not well ill have fun having low lvls yell at me for killing them (insert evil laugh here)

what i had in mind is that if u mixed it with the invasions you could attack jolly rogers army and eachother as well as helping jolly in the invasion by taking down barricades but the gov mansion can only be attacked by jolly roger however due to the amount of lag this would cause it will prob never happen

Well then most of us will get one point per slain basic pirate!:eek:

I can't wait! last year I was only put down twice before the moon lost its grip on me! I have better weapons of mass destruction now so I will have me some real fun!
 
I'm not much for the land combat junk, I'd rather fight it out on sea. (mainly because nobody can beat me solo:D). But it's kinda ok, I guess... I usually glitch into a wall and snipe away with Sacred or run out to the water until people turn their backs on me... Then snipe away again x)
Time for another year of newbies cursing at me because they thought that I'd be easy to kill since I'm an admiral.. Pssh.. >:I
 
last year i loved it and i really wish that they would have membership days for when it happens, or at least ten minutes before and after so we can use are fancy gear that i really love

meh u just reminded me of how bad i will loose this time cuz everyone has the new fancy legendary swords and famed cursed blades
 
Anything that only comes out seasonally is something to look forward to. Whether that's the green hair, the double rep week, Jack's brew event, fireworks, bonfire, Muertos Moon event, etc. That's something "different" than what we always have daily. If nothing else, at least I could take screenshots or record it.

But of course it would be even better if Disney Potco would "add" something extra each year that would make each event different and unique from year to year. So I'd be more excited if - just like what have been mentioned by others - they would give us incentives for being Undead on Muertos Moon. For instance, I personally love being Undead, so rather than fighting Jolly Roger so that we don't get cursed, I'd rather fight to keep my Undead state longer (for the entire day - just like the mustache, so that we could walk around in the game safely being Undead). Or, if I could maintain my Undead state until the end of the curse time, I'd be rewarded with something (a special hat or weapon).
