This is my opinion on the reasons why you would add those things.
The game is not based on real life. This game is rated E for Everyone. 10+. Kids game! Kids do not usually care for life-like things. For the ships, things like brigs/corvettes won't make the game easier... It would make it harder, considering things like those are small weak ships, like sloops. For the pets, you would not need to feed them. Disney does not get all real life like that. I mean, just look at our ships! Frigates/galleons/sloops never looked like that. Ships always just had a visible deck and maybe a few under the top. And, for customization on cannons, IMO, just to look DIFFERENT. I for one want people to know I am the real Siren Revenge... or Mystical Guardian when I launch my ships- and I'm pretty sure other people want people to know they are not the fakers. It also looks better... Plain grey cannons. Plain plain plain.... Same old same old, or, awesome gold cannons with jewels or shiny silver coated cannons.. Maybe even a spiked razor cannon with a skull on it.
 
i want ship customization. i would have a golden colored ship with a burning phoenix on the sails and it would be called the golden phoenix. and a new line of ships could be the curiusse snow. its not huge but not small. or a postitillionen frigate or my favorite frigate a stralsund frigate. all of those fit the description of a pirate ship. fast with lots of guns

i would have a war sloop called the golden dragon which would be gold and would have a dragon on the flag

i really don't care about the cannons, and the corvettes are no different than the light frigate. and, if its E 10+ they should NOT have an ax. and i never said that this game was based on real life, I said it was based on the movies. And in what movie did a pirate have an ax? SOTL would make it much more easier. Fact still remains, the only thing I would like is for the game to have customization for ships, and that be all.

They have guns and it's 10 and up. They have swords. They have daggers... Axes aren't that violent.

ok let me explain AGAIN. I know plenty of kids under 10 who have shotguns. Swords, duh its a pirates game, daggers duh again. Axes, WHICH POTC MOVIE HAS AXES?!?!?! :cursing:

um do you not remember will turner had an axe in curse of the black pearl invasion? there were axes when ppl fought the kraken. so yeah they had axes in the movie

I think if they add Eye Patches it wouldn't make the sight blurry because if you never noticed your playing at a third person view. Also Peg Legs would slow us down correct, but I would have it say that when you buy it saying WARNING: This item will make your pirate run slower.
 
Um... how in the world would an eye patch mess up our vision if its a game?? O.o
I'll give you the sails and cannon one. Also why would you need to feed the parrot if we can't feed our selves in the game? (The /eat emote don't count) and if you want a challenge then stick to yer war frigate, on that one i also ment new enemy ships too. Oh yea also there was a lot of axes used in POTC like Rigety in dead mans chest had an axe saving Elizabeth from the Kraken. Peg legs, well yer right bout that one... just statin my opinion.
 
I'm tired of all the people that are sayin that the SOTL will make it easy... if it makes it easy then DON'T BUY IT! duhh that's my honest opinion.
 
well i like a challenge to. since my brother played once(older brother) he was increadible he took out war frigates!. i after that have been able to. stay behind the ship and once you have a broadside ready go up give em blud and thunder!

Aye that is the easiest way to fight them. For some reason they don't try to turn to get you like any smart person would do instead of exposing the weakest spot of the ship to all of the cannon fire. Lol.
