My Trip To Disney

So, as you know, last week I went to Disney for 1 week. ( I original planned to go to universial, but there wasn't any transportation, and it cost 100 just to go there,) Pictures speak more than words, so I have some to share with you.

The Resort I was staying at, "All Star Music Resort" keep in mind that I had to crop these pics, so I can Upload then here, so You can google to find more pics

The Gaint Cowboy shoes near my room ( Which took forever to find, and the heat wasn't helping)

That night, ( I had to take a nap because I was up for 30 hours) I went to the Magic Kingdom to see the Parade and fireworks, I was going to show you Pics,( Okay I'll show you one) But I fine a video would be better. First off the Parade, ( that song was stuck in my head forever!) And yes, the videos aren't mine. But it should give you a idea of what I saw.

Right after that I went to Cinderella Castle to see this show called "Magic, Memories, and you!" This was before the main fireworks and it was so cool! It actually looked like the castle was moving! Animated Architecture Projection is what its called, and by far Disney has the best. From the different colors to the 'movments' of castle it was great!

Right After that, the main Fire works!

After that night, I went on to go to another part of the Magic Kindom to go on the Pirates of the Caribbean the one that made the movies came to be! They also added Blackbeard in it to!
Then I went to Downtown Disney, ( That's where I brought Legos Potc game) then it was on to Disney's Hollywood Studios! I went on a ride called Star Tours, it's where you put on the 3d glasses, and get to go to your different parts of the galaxy from the movies. Everything moves, from drops turns sudden stops, etc. Just don't eat within the hour before you go on the ride...
After Star Tours, I went to see 'Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular' and everything they show there is real!
Epcot was next, and sadly I didn't go on much rides, Just one, and that was Soarin' When I got in, the line was short, but after many turns to get to the ride, I saw in front of me all these people, and the line just got longer behind me. I waiting for an hour, and just before I could get on, they had to close a part of the ride, ( turns out, it was raining and lighting caused a small power outage.) So we had to go to the other side that was only for Ticket holders. It only lasted Five Mintues long, but it was great! They suspend you at least 30 feet into the air, ( the front rows) Here's a video, but being there is better!
One other ride I would've love to be on was Mission Space and Test Track ... maybe next time...
Hopefully Tomorrow, I'll show Animal Kingdom.

I stayed at ASMusic on a previous trip. Pop Century is way cool too, as far as the value resorts go.
(....yes, I'm kind of a Disney park freak myself....)

Were u there 4th o jully i was in magic kingdom that day fireworks were amazing and the whole castle thing was cool too ok u know what just gonna say this alot of stuff in disney is amazing

Looks like you had a blast on your vacation Basil! I've never been to DisneyWorld, but I love Disneyland. Soarin is a really fun ride. Thanks for sharing, those videos were fun to watch, makes me want to head for Cali right now.lol :piratemickey:

If you haven't seen Illuminations at Epcot......DO IT!!!

...I've got a list as long as my arm of things everyone should experience while down there...lol

I like the Message with Walt at the end of the show! " To all those who come to this happy place, welcome!" I knew that they were building up to something big

After I Toured around Animal Kingdom, I went to a Restaurant called Rainforest cafe. It has its on store, and these huge fish tanks! But thats not the best part, when you go in, it actually feels like you're in a rainforest! You can see Snakes, Leopards, Gorillas, etc. Once every 30 mins, you get to be in a Thunder Storm! The lights dim and brighten, and the animals go wild! Every few mintues you hear a waiter go, " Volcano!!" Words can't really explain it so here's a Pic.
Vol.jpg

This thing has vanilla ice cream, brownies, chocolate and caramel coming out of it like lava! Its something that more than one person should eat, not Just you. And I can see why. As you see in the Pic, there's a sparkler on top. Disney Rainforest Cafe used to have it, but after a few kids got burned, Disney Lawyers were all like, " No Fire! We're not getting sued!" so now, they have to put a streamer instead.
------------------------

All good things have to end, and so on Friday, I had to leave... I didn't want to of course, but when I made it to the airport, I saw something that ended my Trip just right: The launching of the Space Shuttle, the Airport was close, so all I saw was the smoke, and the glare from the Shuttle, I tried to take a pic, But with the sun, the glass, and how far the Shuttle was away, that didn't happen. Which brings up the question: Why Can't cameras be as good as our eyes.
--------------------------
There are a few places I forgot to write about, I went on a Ride called, Its a small world...... never again.. here's my reaction throughout the whole ride:
imagesCATEBONK.jpg

Another one was called, the Seas With Nemo and Friends, Its like the Pirates ride, you're in this shell, that moves through a tunnel, and you can get to see Nemo and his friends from the movie. When you get close to the end, you get to see real fish, and a sting ray. When the ride is over, you get to go this , aquarium where you can see manatees, ,Dolphins Clown Fish, Seahorses, etc. It was great!

The mallard duck looks like one of mine (I used to have 8, we let them go). The Rainforest Cafe seems to be a pretty good idea, except for a real life snake. There is nothing appealing about dining in the company of a live snake.

Glad that you had a blast, Basil!

All of Animals were fake lol which is a good idea if you ask me.

I love Disney World! I am going there in December for Christmas. I hate It's a small world ride. The song is stuck in your head for the rest of the day. The rain forest cafe is so cool! Great pictures!

Thank goodness ... BUT I'm so doomed when it comes to that ONE animal ... :sad1:. That's my bane. Fake or real, picture or plastic, does the same to me. I literally embarrased and hurt myself in public trying to get away (it happened more than once, and I don't appreciate any joke using it). :sad1:

I love planning WDW trips. My last one was in 08. Looking at going again next year, making it a WDW/Universal trip to see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
