Discussion NAVY PANTHERS

DavyM

I have a quest where I must sink 2 Navy Panthers. I do not often find them (low spawn rate?), but when I do there's always something wrong with them. They're inside the island border (I can't shoot them), they're teleporting.

Any time I actually find one that is still and okay. I CRASH EVERYTIME! One shot into a Navy Panther and I crash.

:cry::cry:

In between Cuba and Port Royal and you'll find a fair amount of them, depending on the server.

Not trying to advertise a guide of mine, but this may help: http://piratesonline.wikia.com/wiki/Stephen's_Guide_to_Finding_Enemy_Ships

Yeah mostly in Cuba and Port Royal.

Thanks! - Spider

Thanks Guys! I do appreciate all of this, but on a further note, I do believe there is an issue with attacking Navy Panthers. The second a cannonball hits the ship, I crash. I believe I have a crash report (not 100% sure), but I don't know where I'd send it. Hopefully someone from the TLOPO Team sees this and I can send it to them. :/

NOTE: For whatever reason, using Quicktime Player to try to record a video for this thread will make it so you can shoot them without crashing :D

As far as the crash report goes, what I usually do is go into the logs folder and upload the log .txt file relating to the crash incident. You can find the folder by going to the directory in which TLOPO is located. Once you have the log file, upload it to your forum post, or to the "Bugs and Crashes MEGATHREAD" which should be located in the Bugs and Glitches subforum. Hope that helped for future reference!

P.S: As a naval captain, I will say that the sea is very unstable at this time, so most of the bugs and crashes you'll encounter might happen then.

I had similar issues with boss fights back in the day, try making a new pirate and see if attacking a navy panther crashes you on the new pirate as well.
