It’s a lovely Friday night, the prime time for an excursion sailing the vast ocean in my beautiful light galleon, The Scarlet Rogue, on Pirates online. I embark on my quest to sink multiple Navy Bulwarks for my low-level, beginner quests. As I depart from Tortuga and set sail for waters near Cuba, I’m fortunate to find a handful of navy sloops. Time for some quick plunder. I carry on past Port Royale, sinking two light sloops on the way, when I come across a larger Naval Warship, two EITC sloops, and one rare Navy Bulwark, positioned in a perfect straight line. I fire the port-side cannons towards the Bulwark. I can nearly taste the precious booty, level enhancement, and selfish personal gain. Three cannonballs strike the Bulwark… while one lone ball makes its way into the hull of the warship.
Like sharks to fresh meat, the four ships begin to encompass the Rogue, circling me and taunting me with their pre-programmed attack formation. I’m left with two choices: Full speed ahead towards Cuba, or stay and take on the brigade. But mama didn’t raise no coward. The Rogue’s cannons fire at random, adding more lead to the ocean floor than holes into my opponent’s ships. As I grow worrisome of the Rogue’s status, I make the brash decision to abandon the battle and head for Cuba. Breaking from the squabble, I make haste for my swampy salvation. Suddenly, the warship and a light sloop come about from both starboard and port sides and aim to block my route. My passageway narrows, I’m at my wits end. I fire my port-side cannons once more. Success! The EITC vessel meets it’s maker!
I drop anchor in Cuba and passionately kiss the first alligator I come across.
