Well It was right after flagships got fixed. I boarded a spanish flagship and was killed. My ship could not be repaired or launched or sold or anything the next day my ship disappeared and about 4 hours later it came back I was so excited I got right on board and began to attempt to hug all the main masts! I was thinking Oh Boaty you do love me, because you came back <3 <3

Arrr a new story upon the seas has arisen from me. It was right after bounty hunters were set loose into the carribean an I went out on me war frigate the fortune king to try and fight em. It wasn't until the hunters showed up that I even had a crew a measly crew o' 3 you see? we plunder pillage cheat an steal these hunters no problem slowly n' surely more n' more members board me ship we get a crew of 11 and one of me mates says Cap'n we better port, We're out of nails! Arrr I said and I turned the ship towards tortuga the only open port just as I do so a tally-ho rushes us and sends the ship ter critical damage So I activate me full sail evasive maneuvers and we thunder towards tortuga with a jolly tally-ho in tow! As we're passin cuba we get a message from the game saying Arrrr Tortuga is closed but ravens cove is open! All I can think at this point is we're going to die me hearties as I slowly turn the ship around keeping ahead of the monster behind us. As we're passing around isla perdida because the goin be slow a EITC Sea viper decides to block the road! And an explosive from the blasted tally-ho slams our hull again and I managed to shove the blasted Sea viper out the way with full sail. As we thunder down the final stretch towards ravens there's a line o' bout 15-20 ships ranging from ferrets to phantoms and each ship getting off it's own shots at our hull! Another small ship this time a navy ferret runs in our path I get around it and it broadsides our hull and that was all she wrote.... Or not! Because amazingly the ship was still going 9 knots! So we continue to hammer down to ravens cove no ships in our way and I be tellin the crew throw anchor! Throw anchor! And the ship ports. The entire crew cheers for not only the bravery of me but the quick cunning timing and use o' me skills.

And this is how we Survived to tell another tale. -John Longshot

Yes, I don't have a key, but even better! I have a drawing of a key!

Aye, here be my tale... Me and my mate once joined a very low level guild (forget why). Long story short: We leave the guild and it makes all the level 10's VERY angry. They start calling us "traitors" and start chasing us with their swords drawn lololol (they actually thought they could do damage to us). Me and my mate decided we would have some fun with this. We told them the name of our ship and sailed straight for Isla Tormenta knowing that they'd follow right behind us. After porting, we waited for them to find us, and lured all these level 10's into the depths of Isla Tormenta hahaha. They all ended up getting knocked out within the first 2 minutes of chasing me and my mate. This story still makes me laugh to this day. It be a cruel life in the carribean! Some lessons are learned the hard way.. even if that lesson be: don't chase your foes into higher level caves cause you might get yourself slaughtered..heh... cheers!

Key 2.jpg
They are two versions of the same key design ( if this is not allowed, I'll pick one to get rid of). To visualize, I think of them as chest tattoos where, in the first one, the wings go across the collarbones and the key "unlocks" or points towards the heart. In the second one, the wings still go across the collarbones but the key points downward over the sternum. As arm tattoos, the first one would make sense most on the shoulder (that may or may not be a thing in game) and the second design could work there or on the forearm. As a face tattoo, the wings could be on the forehead while the key either goes down the nose or across it (depending on the design). Sails would be as they are shown in the images (minus my keyboard and sketchbook rungs; I changed my approach mid-drawing so the picture didn't work out).

One of the funniest stories happened recently, I was teleporting to my friend, who was in the middle of a game of poker. When I spawned I was with Carver, (I forgot what its called) Next thing you know a group of people went up to me and asked for drinks and stuff like that. I pretended to give a guy and drink but the moment I typed it, the whole place disappeared for a second, the group and I went falling for a bit, it was so random and unexpected we all started laughing.

My funniest memory is from ravens cove with the ghost that flies around and does a crazy amount of damage to players. me and about 10 other players were all in a crew and would shoot at it or use our voodoo dolls on it until we got downed, would go back to prison, run back out and join back into the fight; it was quite the cycle we had going. Anyways we continued doing this for some time until we finally beat it and as a result of all my hard work I got a loot but also good friends

Probably the most fun I have had was years ago. I was apart of a fairly large guild and of course we would go questing/grinding as a large group. The most fun I have had/funniest experience was when we were in a large swampland area, the name escapes. Anyway, we were all a fairly high level and we were bombarding the boss of this specific area with the large bombs, non-stop. 10+ people throwing these bombs was a sight to see.

This is something I just whipped out a few minutes ago. I feel like it's so intricate I need to explain the meaning of everything. So bear with me.

Let's start with all that stuff going on with the edge. That was my attempt to try to make the image look 3-D. I wanted to try to make it look 3D so it would look as if the viewer was observing a compass as if it were right in front of them.

Now I am going to talk about the compass. I drew inspiration from Jack Sparrow's compass from the series. Here you see the needle pointing toward the chest. This is to show sort of a homage to the film series as I wanted to pay tribute to Jack's compass that points to his heart's desire. Though it may seem the treasure is the goal. There is an even deeper meaning.

See that word "Flucht"on the front of the compass case, that is a German word for "Escape." That is because this whole tattoo design is a tale of escape. Now to explain the story from the NW quadrant, moving to every quadrant counter-clockwise from the NW. This is the story of every pirate's life.

The black star is a reference to death, it is like a blackspot in some regard, but when a black star shines on someone. It means it's their time. So this is here to represent the sailing aspect of a pirate. It is sort of a reminder that they need to cheat death and try to avoid the black star by cheating death on the sea.

The key below it has alligator teeth and an alligator jaw. This is a reference to all the beasts that could chase a pirate: crocodiles, sea monsters, etc. that are guarding the treasures the pirate seeks. It also means that sometimes in order to get the treasure we most desire, we have to fight the fears that other pirates wouldn't dare face. Like krakens or crocodiles. Then when we do fight and win facing our fears of the creatures, we have a better chance at getting the key. But if the pirate falls to the creature, the teeth of the key bites back, rather than remaining inanimate key teeth.

The chest represents the treasure all pirates seek. Immortality and the escape from the black star that we can only achieve by facing our fears as pirates: the undead, creatures, the EITC, etc.

Finally, in the NE we see the hourglass, a reminder that our time is limited when we are first marked with the black star and we only have so long to Escape or "Flucht" before we end up being caught in it's light and end up captured by the EITC/Navy or destroyed by the Undead or other creatures.

That's my interpretation of my tattoo/sail idea. No interpretation is right.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

SO!! Whilst at sea, attacking every ship in site, singing sea chanteys, and comparing cases of scurvy, the captain of our great frigate seemed to...lose focus. He Drove our ship straight into another huge frigate, and for a moment, we ignored it. But as the ships pulled away from one another, we noticed a slight problem... there was a huge slice missing from the center of our ship! Somehow, the rendering of our ship got mixed in with the rendering of the other ship and once the other ship moved away from us, it took the middle of our ship with them! Mates started to fall through the ship, teleport back to the top, and fall again! It was a never ending loop of laughs and slight anger! The people falling had to teleport out and the captain had to dock before the ship was all there again! Some weird voodoo witchcraft if I ever saw it...
(thanks for reading this, love the game when it was first out, and still love the game now!)

I got to the mission where I had to take out two ships and steal there flags. I thought hey this will be easy. "ohh how I was wrong". I found one small navy ship that is super easy to take out so I did then out of know where two giant man of wars come charging at me. I was like "AHHHHHHH" I got hit over and over again I ended up going one not and I barely made it to port harbour I repaired my ship. I was happy that I got away. So I went back out to hunt more ships I spent about twenty minutes destroying ships. "then I realised I already had enough flags"!

It was a simple evening on Tortuga, the simple man that I am was spamming the hell out of A and D which done fast enough makes it look like your character is spinning really fast. You can do this and still move forward so I continue this into a cave entrance for quest purposes. I spammed the keys for a little bit during the load screen, I stop, but to my amusement my pirate did not stop. So I continue on to kill skeletons for my quest and my character (on my screen) is Tornado Kicking everything in sight while I fight with my sword. Guess you could say, that spun outta control.

Funniest in game story:
One day I was out at sea trying to find EITC Ironwalls, which for some reason are rarer than Famed Weapons, for the grenade quest and I was passing Port Royal and a ship appeared on my map in the top right corner, but for some reason, I did not see it. As I got closer to Port Royal, I realized that the ship was INSIDE Port Royal just sailing through the terrain. The crew aboard then proceeded to try and hit this ship that was defying all the known laws of physics. Sadly, the ship was invincible. No matter how close we got or how many cannonballs and broadsides were fired at it (and believe me, it was a lot) the ship refused to sink. Oh well, I guess next time.

459.JPGone funny thing happened to me in TLOPO is that the game glitched and darkheart would not die but he keep killing me and ye crew mates most of them were lvl 50 and we all had sf lost sword of el patron and nothing would kill him we didn't even hit him he just keep killing us evry time we went near him and now we never go to dark heart on the server abassa because the server is cursed

Here I have a flag/tattoo design, although I can't really see it as being an item of the Code Master's Guild, I thought having a bit of Aztec design/lore would be rather interesting to throw in there. This design is inspired from an Aztec shield. Please excuse me for the crude appearance.

A guildie and I were playing high stakes poker in Padres as a result of him sinking my ship and me demanding a few hands of poker to make up for it (I'd consider myself a lucky player and very familiar with the AI's easy to predict behavior, so I thought I'd just win my money back and be on my way,) but he managed to win 17 hands in a row, robbing me of over 26k. I wasn't too happy but it was funny nonetheless, because he never had to cheat either. He just managed to have luck swing in his favor for 17 hands in a row. The odds were not even worth mentioning they were so low. 3 rounds of pocket aces. I couldn't help but stare at my monitor and laugh.
