New Queue Login System

People who are frustrated should try to understand this - today is a very busy day in terms of game population. Not only did the game only recently come up from an update, but it's a weekend day during peak hours. These hour or two long waits will likely not be the norm once things cool down. Just have some patience.

There's gonna be more weekends with "peak hours" in the future. It'll cool down in like 8-10 hours when everyone is sleeping oh yeah.
But this is gonna happen again unless they add more slots :)

So do we have an actual idea of how the queue works. I am siting at #119 and no change. Should we be seeing the number drop or does it stay at that number and count down behind the scene? I am very confused.

think it refreshes every so many minutes and the number should drop

Like I said on the first page, I jumped from 200 to 100 to 50 to 30. The closer I got to actually getting in, the slower it took. Makes sense because the 100-200 people in front of me left because they realized how long it's gonna take :/

Players wont be waiting multiple hours on a queue
From what I hear, this is epically false.

I KNOW! How about a mix of the two systems? You can still reserve playtimes, but you'll also be able to queue the CURRENT timeslot for playtimes that have been abandoned for more than 7 minutes. If you get in, your pirate simply adopts that playtime. Of course you would also retain the playtime you had reserved.

Yeah, THIS should be what happens

Shooting for the middle, I love it. If only if it were that easy :/

XD. Shouldn't be overly difficult; they already developed both systems. Should only take a few hours' work to splice them together.

Perhaps they'll do it when they realize this system is trash.

God I hope you're right man.
I also hope I don't get banned for hate speech or anything like that ^^

I think this is a brilliant idea. I never had issues with the time slots because it allows me to schedule a time with friends who may be in other time zones...sitting here now waiting to get into the game, attempting to play with friends will become a challenge. If we could still reserve times but also enter a queue if we happen to have some free time would be the best of both worlds.

Once the initial time slots start expiring it will be like there is no queue. As far as I can tell.

We're limiting how many people can enter the game because, well:
This system is quite literally a few hours old

I'm forced to repeat that this is day one. The game population is nowhere near being capped right now (currently 534 players online) because the devs are making adjustments.

Perhaps they'll do it when they realize this system is trash.
Do not hop on the hate train, have patience.

Perhaps you could be right, I guess we'll find out. But there still lies a similar issue; what happens when the timeslots fill up from the queue for ANOTHER 3 hours?

Same problem. @MMDR

Flight I dont think you fully read the post. Here is is again, give it another read:

Likely what you're referring to is the idea that the slot vanishes if you leave the game for more than a few minutes, right? (Actually don't know what you're talking about XD)

But, I think it would be a good idea to assume the majority of players tend to stick on their slots for the full 3 hours. If this system hinges on some other idea, its success could be limited.

I have a feeling this is going to push people away from playing the game. Hours of waiting then 3 hours to play to crash for 1 of the 3 hours loosing that time. I dislike playtimes too but maybe server support needs to be worked on before any more bugs are fixed if queues have 200 to 500 extra people expanding the server to accommodate shouldn't be to hard.
