Microsoft has skipped 9 and gone right to 10*.

Microsoft said at a press event showcasing Windows 10 that, "Windows 10 combines elements of Windows 8's forward-thinking design and the familiarity and functionality of Windows 7, still the most popular Microsoft OS."

All these years people kept trying to tell me that seven eight nine and I just didn't want to believe them. And now here we are. Windows 10.

Windows 8 is terrible. Period. How do you put touchpad tech in a laptop without it? I used it twice, figured out I'd just spent $900 on a 17 inch pad, and rolled it back to 7. I'm thinking if Gates wants to go on the cheap, buy Apple stock.

I would imagine it would be like the past Windows releases. Windows Home Edition, Windows Professional, and Windows Enterprize. Like Windows 7 and 8.1 featured.

I hope that Windows 10 isn't some crap trap like Windows 8 was because I hate Windows 8 with a passion, while I don't use it a lot, I have a user on my fathers laptop and the fact that the desktop was very much um... What's the word... Less focused upon? It really frustrated me, I love the desktop mode and everything about it. Hoping they don't mess it up.

I've been running Windows 10 since the day they released it. Amazing so far. I've used every version of windows from 95 and must say its the best so far. I can't wait to see how it improves for the full release. 11/10 for Windows 10.

Windows 10 is great, going to install it as my Primary OS on my new PC.

Would create a recovery drive just in case. The preview release has a lot more debug information logged and sent to Microsoft, and I don't think you can upgrade to OEM from the previews so you'd have to reinstall.
