I should have added I'm playing POTCO mostly from a Dell Latitude D510 laptop but also have a custom PC system running the network through a standard Belkin router using the same cellular modem for internet access. Using Microsoft standard laser USB mouse on both computers. Mouse movement seems to be ok, Lag in game seems to be issues with the Disney servers at times and at other times issues with my ISP. I do run two computers but rarely log into game from the PC as that system is monitoring the networks and systems of a casino/hotel complex I tend to have several operations going at once along with the game so this contributes to the lag and freeze up issues.

Logitech makes some good middle of the row wireless mice that work really well and are cheap. I use one and I never have a problem in the game with it. I had to give up on my bluetooth stuff and it was really expensive... the major problem I keep having with that and the keyboard is the computer drops them and I have to go set them back up again.

Igor have to totally agree with the Logitech equipment mate, Igor used Logitech for years and years, good stuff. Igor say as long as you understand what you are purchasing and what you are using it for. Igor is just not a fan of wireless equipment as it is always slower because it has to transmit everything where wired equipment is lightning fast!!

Igor say stock tried and true with a low low price.

Igor say or Logitect's adjustable weighted Gaming Mouse is a excellent bargain

Igor ask is anyone running gaming Graphics cards? Igor is still just using a stock Nvidia and has contemplated upgrading to a better gaming card but would like to know what you think.

I've never had a video card upgrade give the desired benefits. There are too many integration issues, where a specific card will be tuned for a specific architecture. New computer purchase decisions can take the graphics card into consideration, but a straight upgrade often ends badly.

I have always wanted to try a gaming card. The only I purchased was a computer that I was upgrading for video and audio use.. well... blew out the power supply in it. That was a while ago though.
My kid is getting old enough so that I can get a new tv so with it I am planning on installing a home server. I use a desktop as a server now so I would have a hard time going without one ... anyways. I plan on hooking it up to a large flat screen... then... I will get the game card for it.

The first thing you need to know is what type of slot does your Motherboard uses for GPU's "Vid cards". All new Mobo's have PCIE slots version 2.0. This is where you need to be carefull in your choice. PCIE v 2.0 is compatible with version 2.0 & 1.0 slots. A version 1.0 card is not compatible with a 2.0 slot. Then we get into the specs of the card. You need to look at the clock speed for the GPU "Graphics processing unit" & processor & memory & shader clock speed. The clock speeds are important to compare. Also the memory interface or bitrate is very important too. A bit rate of 512 is an indication of a very high end GPU. A GPU with a bit rate of 512 is top of the line last time I did my homework. But you must compare the clock speeds of everything else. Example, I run 2 GPU's in SLI mode "Scaled Link Interface". This is a high performance setup using 2 cards.
It doubles the performance of graphics generation & video output to your monitor, & cuts the generation lag down to half. Both cards work together or in tandom. You need an SLI compliant Mobo. Start your homework by using google & type in "About SLI mode". There is a bit to learn & understand in this area. I can't explain it all to you here. Doing your homework is the best way to learn about this awesome performance boost. You need to be carefull about what type of Mobo you want to use as well.
You have SLI & Crossfire compliant Mobo's. Once again, you must do your own research & know the difference & make your choice. I'm sorry I can't explain it all here. The info is way too vast & involved.

Igor say aye John you say it is well. Igor say ty for the most helpful information mate!!!
EDIT (Nov 19, 2010 4:00 AM):
Igor want to ask any Mac users? :ahoy: Igor has talked to some Pirates that use them but Igor not know how to help them. Igor ask does anyone?

Helga says she does not use the same equipment as Igor, but has a relatively cheap graphic mouse with higher DPI. Helga says about $20. Helga runs a desktop with max RAM (8gb, currently), high end graphics card, 2 TB HDD, and other extra goodies. Helga is set up for Graphics Intense programs. Helga also has DSL but tweaked with special settings to allow optimal connection.

Helga says a big downfall is Helga's OS, which is Win7, sadly not compatible 100% with POTC. Helga says they are still working with XP as a main OS. Helga says XP is optimal, Vista is a bit better for the game, win7 can guarantee a crash at least once during heavy heavy games, even in XP compatibility mode.

Helga says another part of Igor speed comes from basic care of his system. Helga says Igor has his OS clean and streamlined. Helga says Helga plans on writing up a basic care guide, but has been too busy. Helga says look for it this weekend.

Helga,. when we doing CD on test server before i use win 7 with high graph,. and next day try svs in live server with that,. nothing bad for me,.
my PC specs is :
AMD athlon X2 x64 dual core 4400+ 2.3 Ghz
Ram 3 Gb
VGa card NVidia 9500 GT 1 Gb vid ram
OS Windows 7
