This wiki you are trying to create is not needed really. It's basically a bad copy of POTCO forums, this site is made to bring the "Pirate" Community together. That means you are free to support and talk about both POTBH and another remake here and support us here since we both are active on this site as well as trust it and are used to it with the amazing creator of it Davy.

If you really want to show any further support for ether one of theses projects, you should join or voice your ideas, feelings, debates or if you just have a question I have added 2 links to the (Main) pages of theses projects.

Why is the POTHS link full of asterisk's ?
 
Yes there is a filter so it won't allow you post anything about POTHS. I'm not sure about the hyperlink, it would probably work though.
 
Rumors have it (not saying they're true or I support them, they are after all rumors) that another remake is possibly dropping any support for POTHS and frankly to some extent I know why but I am unsure if it is a good idea. In my own opinion some should either choose one or the other and not both.

Im sorry, but if you Read about my Wiki its not A wiki Just about supporting another remake and POTHS its a page for Pirate fans and stories if youd like to create one and stories about famous Pirates and history anything that realates to pirates but we also support pirate Games. not to be rude Charles but read about my wiki before you assume its just a page supporting another remake and POTHS.
 
@Samuel Cannonskull Reyes De Luz - If I am not mistaken that is what this forums is for... All I am saying is wouldn't it be better to just talk, post and discuss everything about it on our POTCO forums? Rather then moving it to a wiki to talk about it there?

If I am not mistaken this forums is for discussions, talk, post and making friend for everything to do with POTCO (Online gaming) and our amazing pirate (gaming) community.

Yes but at the same time there are some sites that do it through the right way by checking with management, per the front page: POTC Fanon Wiki and POTCO Wiki. Those two checked with the management and sure they have a partnership too but no less checked if it was okay. Furthermore, there is a reason, Charles, a reason POTHS is blocked from here which I would think you would have taken cue of.
 
Not trying to start anything here but if you don't mind me asking.. Why can't people enjoy all these sites?. :confused:
 
OK, from my understanding, POTHS references were being blocked at one point due to someone, who was not authorized by their developers, constantly spamming this forums site with links and false information.

Since then, there have been people who have been authorized by their devs that have been allowed by our staff to post information here. Why the link is still not allowed, I do not know. Only Davy Darkrage can answer that.

Reyes De Luz, your comment that people should chose one or the other game is not a good suggestion in my opinion. This forums site, as Charles Warmonk stated above, is for the pirate community to come together and discuss not only POTCO, but any and all pirate related stuff. Yes this site was created specifically for POTCO, however that game is no more and the site while remaining will continue and continue to support other pirate related games, especially those based upon POTCO.

I'd like to caution all community members to remember our code of conduct and not respond with any comments that may be taken in the wrong way by either a fellow community member or staff.

I will take it upon myself to speak with Davy about the POTHS link and see if it cannot be fixed so that it will work correctly.

Anyways, they block it due to the belief that it will decrease this site's traffic; as "I" understand.

When POTCO closed they often would not even allow these type of threads/messages for advertising. I think they are more lenient on it now because this site is fading. (I would say dying, but I feel the backlash would be abundant at this moment in time.) I think personally they should allow these messages; I don't agree with that wiki existing, as it pointless, no offense.
 
Let me clear up some misconceptions and confusion.

Pirates Forums will always be largely for discussing pirate games and related topics, especially our beloved POTCO. We here do not care if other sites are based off of us, or seem to "copy" us. That's not what this is about. What matters is that our community is strung together - I myself even promote the idea of being part of multiple sites. There is no competition here. Absolutely none. No site is better than another. You may choose one or the other - you of course are entitled to your own choices and opinions. If you have the drive to create your own site, by all means, go ahead. All the more power to you. I honestly encourage it as it will further our network of pirates communities.

We do not block any sites because of that reason. The only reason we censor POTHS is that we are unsure of its legitimacy at this point, if I recall Davy's reasoning. Perhaps when POTHS gets a bit more underway and developed the censorship may be lifted.

I can agree to the fact that the pirates community is receding, but forum policies still stand. Those of us who are still here... well we're still here. Simple as that. This site will continue to run until the last person logs off for eternity. If necessary, it was discussed that the topic of the forum be changed, but I believe popular consensus was that this forum remain a pirates fanbase.

I have been checking in on POTHS and another remake a bit. They appear to have great potential and I'm sure once they've gone into alpha/beta stages we will see more growth.

For now, please be mindful and considerate of others' opinions. Remember, the intent of a fan site is to bring together a community, not compete for attention.
