Pirates Online - Sneak Peek: Ship Customization and Upgrades

@GuildPiecesofMe - Customization features have always been restricted to Unlimited Access Members only. Ships will be no different. However, we have been listening to our Basic Access Members a lot and their requests for getting Light class ships will be granted. All Light ships including the Light Brig will be available for Basics.

I think that was a great move for D to be fair. This will give new players who test the game a better taste of it. This could also lead to more unlimited because once they taste it, they will want to eat it(subscribe).
 
Looked at the stats of the regular brig, (fullscreen, was able to see). It seems it will be a little weaker than the war frigate, perhaps like the war galleon. But, it seems like it is as fast as the QAR, which is very fast.
 
I'm probably gonna be limited access for a member in a couple of days (Saved 200,000) but once it hits on test, I will get unlimited once it hits test. (Since, it wouldn't really take a super long time until it hits publicly)

That looks awesome. (My ship is the "Red General" - Name all of my ships that but I would customize it greatly once that hits live - Black and Red is what I want it to be)

the brig is not ship of the line but at least its close to it
for all you ppl who are mad about it.. dont be its as close as it is gonna get.. ship of the line will never officially come like the rumors you hear.

this aint gonna come out for like a month... just get a member ship when it comes out :)
 
My analysis:

Light Brig

War Brig:
Brig and Frigate got the same amount of cannons, shipmates and cargo. That automatically would make war frigates and war brig have the same amount of cannons - 14, cargo - 16 and shipmates - 12. It will have less hull and weaker sails than a war frigate however it will be faster than it - 10 knots(same as sloops). War brig will also have more broadsides then a war frigate.

BASIC players will be allowed to enjoy this update too! As mentioned above (found within 'comments' section of POTCO's youtube page), the basic player will have access to the Light Brig :daggermouth:.

That is a sneak peak of the new update. The new things are only on Disney's private testing servers. It won't be on live or test for most likely a couple weeks.

I'm very excited. I think I went basic... (Haven't been on in while) But I will MAKE SURE I get Unlimited back when this comes out....
 
It appears after they lifted some of the weight off their shoulders (closing browser version), they started up again with updates and new content (ie: more regular news posts, more updates and hints, videos)

Then after Ship Customization, it will be time for all of us to shout about the ... K ... R ... A ... K ... E ... N!

BUT, give Disney the credit they deserve for listening to us on this Ship Customization, be patient and enjoy it, before we move on to the next request. This Ship Customization hasn't even been officially released on Live yet, so don't rush. I just want to make a point, that if we ask nicely, with reasonable argument, input and solutions, chances are, it's more 'doable' for them.
