Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone else played this game: https://www.planetside2.com/home
I've been playing it for the past year or so, and it's a blast so far. Essentially it's an MMOFPS, where you choose between 3 factions and duke it out over territory control over massive open world maps. It also has class based mechanics, where you choose between 8 classes, those being:
  • Infiltrator
  • Light Assault
  • Combat Medic
  • Engineer
  • Heavy Assault
  • MAX (not really a class so much as a limited use power-up)
Probably the biggest issue with the game is it can be quite frustrating until you get the hang of things, and the bad tutorial doesn't really help. But once you do get the hang of it, it is a total blast to play. The game HEAVILY emphasizes teamwork and tactics, i.e. just trying to run and gun won't work very well. This forces you to think your moves out strategically and work together with your allies. Plus, battles can get to massive sizes. I'm talking like 200 on 200 players all fighting in the same battle. Who could say no to that? :D You can get the game straight from the website or through Steam. Just wanted to see if any of you guys were interested!
