Request Please help save the nostalgic value of the game and spread the word

All so many times we hear that this game means one thing to people, the nostalgic value, the childhood memories.
and even now they talk about bringing back the old islands.
But what good is the sentimental journey or the nostalgia trip if this staff does not honor/approve the names that POTCO did i ask you?

But despite all efforts thus far, the staff (as always and ever more) shuns down any attempt to even so much as discuss such matters and (as always and no big surprise here) they always seem to have some lame excuse to try to justify denying them.

Having had many struggles with name approvals myself, and knowing several people who completely quit the project as a result of this issue, i feel it is time we take things to the next level and attempt to show them how serious they need to (start and for the first time) take this issue.

That said, for anyone who truly cares about the nostalgic value and properties of this game/project head on over to this petition and help fight the good fight.
and please spread the word and share the petition as much as you possibly can, the more who signs the more likely we are to meet with some success.

The naming guidelines are the naming guidelines... Regardless of petitions. There comes a time when folks need to realize we made and enforce the rules based on the decisions of those who remade the game, not as suggested(which we usually consider if folks don't just go straight to blasting us) or demanded by. Next time I suggest not requesting a celebrity name repeatedly (while some have slipped through the cracks, our naming guidelines literally state no celebrity names) ... As this is the second uprising you've attempted... And before we go into how slanderous I am... I can see your IP and activity here... I know the other accounts you have used. TLOPO does not need to honor any naming precedents made by Disney. TLOPO has its own set of rules as defined in our Terms of Service, which you agreed to when signing up for an account with us. Decisions made by Disney do not (and will not) reflect anything on decisions made by the TLOPO team.

While I think it is unfortunate that you have been unable to get your desired name, accountability for reading the Terms of Service is what is at play here. It would have been more productive to try submitting a different name than creating a petition in this case.

firstly, I have only one account, until a few days ago I have never been on any gaming forum, and have never hosted or been a part of any uprising against you personally or this project, and one could hardly call requesting change as an "uprising" that seems a little extreme.

I do however want to thank you, for the longest time now I have suspected someone among the staff to be circling me out and discriminating against me, you have not only proven to me beyond any term of doubt that this has been happening, but have even given me a name to go beside the claim.

I maybe addressing some of your remarks much later when I have the time, as well as probably in private in an appropriate way and place.

There isn’t a case of “discrimination” as the name violated one of our rules listed on our guidelines (https://tlopo.com/help/terms/). JFR’s explanation summarizes it pretty thoroughly, we don’t have the same rules as Disney.

Trust me, resentment (if it's a thang here) has a strange way of consuming. While I had read and understood the frustration, oftentimes too - I think - people just want to be understood in lieu of such frustration.

In the end, we're all just strangers online trying to find some common ground (with others) whom do have the same interests as us. *For what it is worth given "this" particular circumstance, this would not even be an issue if Disney would have just listened to us long before our POTCO interest was shuttered. Your time put into it after this is unfortunately wasted, I'd stick to the nostalgia of just having the game to play from here on out. People inside and outside of the game will corroborate that I'm pretty fair, laid back, and actively try to help the community when they have issues. That being said I return to my main point... Well you have more then proven you are not fully aware of the situation at hand as you harp that the name denial is my only reason for pointing out the discrimination.

in any case whatever your personal problem with me is you need to find a more private and mature way of addressing it, the game and forum post is not the proper way to deal with whatever it is you think you have against me, if you think you have a reason to hate me then come speak with me privately and we will work to resolve said issue, though i do not recall ever meeting you, my only guess is that we met in the real world and you are holding some personal grudge for what i do not know as i am a very nice and friendly person, i have no enemy that i know of.


i'm asking (and warning) you politely and for the last time to bring your personal hatred of me to a grinding and permanent halt, i will not tolerate it any farther, again i welcome you to come to me privately and find a resolve for your problem but your days of taking it out on me through your power over the game and this forum are over.

Any one of our moderators would’ve rejected your name as it violates our rules for the third time. You aren’t being singled out by Mak or anyone for that matter. The name you are consistently requesting is being rejected and always will be by any moderator on the team. I hope this can put the issue to rest.
