Popup screen at TLOPO landing page!

Strongly suggest either getting rid of or adding a "Don't show this again button" to that popup screen on the forums landing page. Once someone has clicked that "They Understand the TOS" then there is no reason why they should have to close that popup every time they return to the forum.
 
A tad confused, can you screenshot what you're referring to? I don't believe we're currently running a TOS reminder notice. We do require users to agree to our terms via an interstitial page when they are updated, but that should be a one-time thing and the rules have not been revised since 2018.
 
I'll see if i can post a screenshot, it wasn't showing up til this morning.

This began showing up this morning below this are two buttons one says I understand and pressing it takes you to the forum page the other is a leave page button. Since this morning I've been getting this page every time I I click my saved forum link to return to the forum. There is no option such as a Don't show this again button to prevent having to deal with this popup every time I return to the forums.
 
Ah okay, that's on the TLOPO homepage (which is a bit different than the PF landing page). If you navigate directly to https://piratesforums.co rather than going through https://tlopo.com then you shouldn't experience this.

With that said, dismissing the notice on the TLOPO website should save a cookie that inhibits it from being displayed again in the future. It looks like the cookie only persists for a single browser session though, so I'll raise that with the TLOPO web development team to see if changes can be made there.

When you click "I understand" a cookie is created saying you have accepted the dialog. After this cookie is created, you should not be prompted for the box again unless your cookies were cleared.

Additionally, if you have an account with us and are logged into the website, this box will never show to logged in users.

Mr. Darkrage. It could also be on the members end. His browser settings may be to not save cookies at all. My browsers are cookie intolerant.
So that he can have both sites working well, Mr. Wolf should go into his browser while on the Tlopo site and add that address as an exception to his browser cookie filters, then also visit the actual tlopo FORUMS site and add another address exception for that page as well. This I believe may be a solution to the pop ups.

Thanks. I understand about cookies and that the popup shouldn't have been showing after the first time I'd clicked the I understand button. For some reason it began showing up again yesterday morning Maybe my browser was set to delete the cookie after the session. Anyway I copied the direct link that Davy provided so the problem should be solved now.
