Alright, so I have a suspicion that the old POTCO damage system is a little strange. I noticed while doing some fighting that the The Lost Sword of El Patron(84 attack I think), and Rusty Cutlass(either 6 or 7) killed an enemy in the exact same amount of hits. This is obviously a tremendous difference in attack power, yet still they kill in equal hit amounts. After a while, I realized that the attack almost didn't even matter, and that the real value of a sword depended on its abilities (ex. poisoning, stun immunity, cursed thunder etc.). Also, between the three sword types, the broadsword was incredibly overpowered. paired with the problem above, as well as the fact that they hit all enemies in a radius around you make it the obvious choice over cutlasses and sabers. Anyway, my suggestion is to:
1. Change the attack of higher attack to be greater or lower attack to be lower, or make the health of enemies fought bigger for higher levels.
2. Even out the 3 sword types, meaning cutlass med. attack single enemy hit, saber fast attack single enemy hit with exp boost, and for the broadsword the classic video game choice: lower the damage but let it do splash damage on multiple enemies.
This fix may not even be needed, there may be some other thing I didn't know about or think to mention, but it really seemed as if the attack system was totally wacko.
