Ahoy, everyone!

Since our release of Open Beta in late September, we have continuously seen new records made in all aspects of the game. One of which happened just last weekend coinciding with the release of the Raven’s Cove Story Quest.

We had over 1,000 pirates online and in full swing for over 6 hours, peaking at 1,092. When we first started this project, we had no idea that we would’ve ever grown to this size. But this got us wondering, how many players can we really hold on our servers without having any problems?

The Legend of Pirates Online will be conducting a system-wide stress test on Friday, January 5th, 2018. This stress test is intended to push our servers to their limits and we need your help to do this. We are asking you to gather as many pirates as you can and login to TLOPO on Friday night.

Where: The Legend of Pirates Online
When: Friday, January 5th, 2018
Time: 6PM-11PM Eastern Standard Time
Description: Make the servers smoke! We need YOU to do as much as possible!

With much more new content on the horizon, we need to make sure our current content can hold up to any future demands they may get.

When playing, we ask that you focus specifically on the following features:

- Black Pearl Boss Battle
- Land/Sea Combat
- Looting
- PvP and SvS
- Questing, especially the newly released Raven’s Cove Story Quest
- Chating in all forms: Local, Crew, Guild, Privateer, Whisper

This stress test is NOT specific to any district (i.e. Don’t go to only Abassa). We are focusing on the global aspect of the game and its reliability in numbers with ALL districts populated to the max.

So, do you have what it takes to crash our servers? Log on Friday and find out! Tell all of your friends, the more online the merrier!

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Don’t go to only Abassa
I'll be on Abassa, but I'll also be on Andaba, Aventurado, Belleza, Bequermo, Exuma, Jovencito, etc.
In fact, I'll be on every server at the same time during this event. I've been doing that since TLOPO started. Every day, every server, every time. If everyone crashes on a server, I'll still be there. Guaranteed.
Although, the chance of me being a color besides gray during this event is doubtful...

You do realize that over half the USA is in record cold weather and many. many areas are totally without power and/or internet. That includes many that were on line last week! You should just attach a bot to simulate a few thousand players and watch the data logs. You can increase the number at will till you reach critical error log entries. And you could do that whatever day, time or event season you so desire. There are plenty of open source multi-user simulators out there; many are free to try, or even freeware.

Do you always have to begin by sounding angered at the devs? Like really? Granted your suggestion is a good idea, but I think less attitude is in order...

I am not angry at them. I am also a software engineer and I know what they are up against! My 'concern' is that they have an effective and valid test! If my choice of words offends you, then please don't read them. But to insinuate that I am a disloyal player is against their forum rules. You have no idea what is in my heart or mind. I am sure that as professional programmers, they would take my feedback as a positive thing. If they are confused by my choice of words they are free to contact me. I am an open book! ;-)

Don't worry. Most of the people here sees anything that doesn't say "Great devs! So awesome!" as anger or hate. Because yes, everyone knows you have to criticize the devs like you criticize writers on WattPad. By not doing it.

I never said you were disloyal or questioned it. You just sound like an angry person based on the forum posts I have read by you. You have a very good idea, which I even said, but your attitude really is uncalled for. I am not offended, and I "insinuated" nothing. And No, I do not know what goes on in your heart, but based on your posts, I really do not care to find out. ;-)

I was basing my "anger with the devs" post on his previous forum postings, and how they are quite similar. The devs do a great job, but there are a lot of stuff here that needs to be fixed, and I agree with that.
