Glitch Raven Cove Quest "recover 4 journals" part is glitched

In the Raven cove quest you need to recover 4 journals by digging them up. The problem is that it doesnt give me the option to dig it up. it doesn't say "press shift to dig". I cant continue the quest with this problem does anyone how to fix it. I already tried restarting the game.

I am having that issue, but the dig spots aren't showing up at all for me.

Hello mate, maybe I can be the one to help you with your issue here. This regards to the dig spots.. There are 2 different dig quests in the main quest if you are using a drowsing rod you must click the button to keep getting closer to the area. If You also cannot still find the dig spots you can use this trusty link I provided you http://piratesonline.wikia.com/wiki/Story_Quest:_Raven's_Cove

Had same issue doing the journals and I know where the digs are for both parts

I was only able to dig the spot at South Idol, but if I switched servers, I could dig it again and it would give me credit for a second journal, then a third, etc. I also heard someone say that if you press shift to dig, press esc twice, and then dig again, you can get credit for the same spot over and over without having to switch servers.

What I did was visit all 4 idols and dig near them. That worked for me

Same, SEVERAL times testing RC before opening it up. Never had an issue interacting with the dig spots at each idol or digging at them for credit.

Did take me a little bit of pacing to find the dig spot at the south idol. All good once I finally tripped over it though!

To do the digging part of the RC quest, go to the South Idol, and there is a digging spot near the top of the incline there. Dig at it, and then when you finish, press escape. Run back down the incline, run back up, dig again, and repeat until you have all 4.
This may help, it's what I did and it worked fine.

It was not. I wasn't able to find any of the other dig sites except for the one at South Idol, so after a while of searching, I went back to South Idol and it let me dig there again
