Idea Repair Stations Expanded

I love the idea that we have repair stations aboard ships. But I do think we can expand into MORE stations according to the needs of the ship during battle.

Allow me to explain. I believe each individual player acts as lieutenant of sorts. Some take control of the cannons, others repair.

If we could allow some players to work the sails (increase sailing speed), some to work random barrels aboard ships (increase reload times) this would allow for that extra player space aboard ships to actually be used.

Not to mention that ships will look more lively and full of different items, not barren decks of which only one broadside is being occupied.

Very intriguing. Perhaps a pirate can be a loader to the cannons having earned some sort of skill buff. If no cannons available, he/she could assist any cannoneer by clicking the players card perhaps and then his buff, say, speed load could be added to that cannon while he is attached. A rigger could potentially speed up sail repair by attaching to a mast icon or whatever. Also could be a use limit on giving buffs like that. This would work for PVE for sure, I don't even want to go there about PVP/svs.

Thanks, but I just rounded out your original idea kind of a more game practical way. Basically, how would we implement your idea.
I always try to think within the game and game structures and capabilities for the most part. Because you already click on cannon, it could either be the player or the cannon, I suppose both would work. Clicking the cannon would be simpler. Maybe the player on cannon would see a quick pop up like "You just got help with loading" or something. A valuable buff for a loader could be high damage cannon ammo, like 30 seconds of unlimited fury or whatever. Maybe all players would have a 3 buff limit every time they enter a new ship whether public or your own. I jump off the bridge to do cannons all the time.

lol...I typed brig by accident but a off topic idea hit me that the captain can send a afk'r into the brig for the duration of the journey and the player is released on whatever island they port at.
