Sailing is so broken

How do you do that with just 2 of you on board, would think it would take a full crew bonus.
The trick is knowing where the "treasure" ships are, sinking them fast with a level 6 storm chaser brig with maxed cannons, full sail, ramming speed and open fire, having an excellent cannoneer (Sun and myself, we take turns) and speedy repair masters (us, lol). There's also a particular technique of taking down multiple ships at the same time, as one might imagine. We also avoid the mat parties so we don't fill up on mats before our treasures fill up. The ship mats just "happen" on the way, with pesky Hunters and Warships following us in tow (we call them our pets), along with Loot Skulls, and when those fill up, we port.

Okay so crew bonus just rep...captain bonus? The captains usually call out their gold on port, I usually make around 3 to 6k less than they do...every trip. Also, when crew dcs or captain dcs how does that affect it, starts over when they return? And I find more famed solo sailing, even though I have treasure sense 5(which prob will respec when I finish ship upgrades), I know everyone says its broke...wondering what parts its really working on...and what Crash's ts is.

Captain's bonus is just an extra amount they get based on the rest of their cargo. It's about 20% extra I believe. Doesn't matter the size of your crew.

You get the cargo you were on board for. If you crash and come back, you still get what you earned, but you miss out on any cargo obtained while you weren't on the ship (including the Captain!)

I don't use treasure sense, as I always thought it was useless. I also don't use take-cover, come-about or leadership. Just full cannons, full sail, open fire and ramming speed.

Seriously?

Come About is super useful. But most importantly here, you don't use Take Cover?!

I only put a single skill point into it. It's super important to have for SvS, and all those times PvE where something goes wrong or weird (the captain DC's mid battle and you take over, about to be broadsided. Or a Corsair spawns in front of you, or Battle Royale engaged her mach 10 jet engines and flies in to block your path with her side).

Never had a problem there. Don't need the skill point wasted. Have never used come about or take cover. Just sail away if you're in trouble. And oh yeah, avoid the enemy broadsides, lol!

Way easier said than done in SvS.

PvE it's easy, but like I said, there's cases such as someone else sailing crashing (and thus the ship stops moving) or some crazy lag stuff happens and you end up at the wheel on a ship that's not moving at all and some she-beast of a ship has you in her explosive broad-sights.

In a perfect world that wouldn't happen, but alas we live in a Beta world.
