have any tips to give players? say them here! here are my tip

Ship firing range

i like to think atm the firing rang is like this

this is what i try to "see" so to speak when driving my ship and attacking! if the ship is in that firing range then they always hit! (i know this is not the true firing range but this helps me a lot!)

anyone else have tips to share with anyone?
 
@navy3001 and others - The below thread is specifically written for SVS/privateering but, some of the advice and tips could be used for (general) sailing tactics used against speedier and more aggressive ship AI:
My advice, work on sailing "angles" (for cannons & broadsides). It's all about angles because the correct ones will permit you enough room to avoid the largest/most destructive damage.
