So I'm not sure if this is even the right title for this thread or even if this is worth posting, but I logged in one of my alts today and saw this message below - I hadn't checked this acct for like a month or more. Since when Disney put that thing? Its the first time I see it

Until Late January 2008, Basic Access members had a special launcher that prevented them from entering Full Screen Mode. Within the first 7 days of play, however, Basic Access members could have fullscreen, ad free game play. They would play through the launcher and would be restricted to Medium Graphics, and be subjected to Ads about Unlimited Access and other Disney Games every 10 minutes. Due to extreme negative feedback, the feature was removed, and Basic Access was granted Full Screen Mode, Ad-Free Game Play, and Unlimited Graphics Options.

Nowadays Basic Access members are able to play the game in fullscreen mode; however I believe this message still appears because it might be a ''scare'' tactic of Disney to made player purchase membership. You can simple ignore this pop-up. :mad:

Didn't even know about it, I downloaded the launcher this July and simply didn't use that account.... wasn't even playing on full screen, I always have the game in ' windowed' settings

I also use window mode as well; it's more comfortable.

I hate how the game has changed over the ages. Back in 2007-2009 it used to be more fun in it. Now there are everywhere malicious people which they want to destroy that is left. :(

Also Game Launcher was a lot better than it is now...:mad:

I noticed this a while back when we had launcher come out (Being a Career RPer that spied on my RP Enemy I had to get creative) and wondered what in the world that was all about. Was I getting Free UA for 7 Days? After reading this I know I was not missing anything.
 
Though come to think of it, it makes sense now. Preview. What youd look like with UA. Stupid Disney, some people don't find that as a premium and can really go without :D
 
Ahh, the good old days... I remember playing in that little window. It wasn't bad once you really got focused on the game. A nice little blast from the past...

As for why it may be popping up now, who knows. Probably just another glitch that hangs around, popping up every now and again.

You could change it if you paid, but for everyone at the time it was pretty much the same. It was very annoying when you were sailing trying to sink ships.

It is not glitch, this pop up appears almost 2 years now...​
 
That's not true.
I spotted this pop up around 2010, then again at 2012-2013 while Mark Scurvyfox was basic access. So it can't be there for 2 years without anyone developer to spot it.
 
Man this reminds me of how back in the day you would log as basic and they like made you wait 5 min before you could log... Would be like "buy unlimited access and load faster" and thus I became unlimited LOL all the old potco tactics worked on me hehe
 
They could always give UA members server access priority and start kicking basic members out of Full servers when UA members want to go to that server.
