Shark or other?

What is this creature?

This picture has been going around the web for a while. This is at a local beach and it is believed to be a great white shark however no one is certain for sure. It's amazing that no one really noticed this creature so close to shore. Some say it's a shark, some say dolphin, and others say it's something else. What do you think it is?

I personally believe it is a swordfish but again no one knows for sure. Here is an article about this that I found.

Yes, I agree with CDPirate ... I think it's a miniature submarine ... ;) The back part looks more like a propeller than a fin.

It's not a dolphin, I've seen quite a bit of dolphins and none look like that. It would have to be very fat. Dolphins also swim in groups. Doesn't look like a shark either, because it would be sticking out like the page said. Could be some weird fish.

I hope it's a demon sea monster... Bc then I'd be the person who found it. And, I want a pet demon that swims >_>

What about a demon pet mother in-law that swims/floats? :D
 
its a shark the body is to fat to be a sword fish the tail is to ginormous to be a dolphin no fish can get that size and they probably wouldnt be that close to humans considering how frightful some fish are so my guess is leaning twords shark
 
thats not a shark and i dont think a dolphins tail is shaped like that as CDpirate and jades said it looks more mechanical but jades its not a sub why would it be so close to shore and its very likely it is a photoshop or something like that if it was a fish im pretty sure it would be big and u would be blind to not notice it when its right next to you

my conclusion is its either ur mother in law or a swordfish (i prefer to call ir ur mother in law and boy is she scary 0_0 wouldnt want to run into her) =( ima voting swordfish though cuz i dont want ur mother in law to come after me

if it was that big im sure we would see the rest of it but your mother in law is scary and i did not know she was that big... constance we found ur monster its ur mother in law (um... so lets see here how many ppls mother in laws is it... she must be the mother in law of lots of ppl but then again there is plenty of her to go around i mean look at how big they say she is)
 
It's a shark. REMEMBER: sharks dont like the taste of humans when they bite u its just bc they smell the blood -,..,-
