Glitch Ship Being Bought When I Hit Escape

I'm 99% sure than when I selected "buy" on a War Brig to look at names, I hit escape to reply to someone, and when I went back to buy the ship, it had already been bought when I hit escape. I'm almost completely certain I clicked escape in the menu (but I'm human and I could be mistaken, if so, I just made an butt of myself).

Is there a way to change the name of my ship at least, since I didn't select one?

If you’re looking at the name selection, you’ve already bought the ship at that point.

Alright, thanks, I've hit escape in the name selection screen before and didn't buy the ship. Maybe I did accidentally hit submit. Anyway, thanks for replying quickly.
