Did you ever consider that it does hurt other players if you master a weapon through doing this compared to them working to master theirs. You get an uneven advantage of being mastered faster than a person going the normal route? The person going the normal route is still working hard on mastering when you are done and can conquer things they can't. Just something to think about.

Ah, you're touching on some interesting concepts. Your statement seems to be trying to instill guilt where if someone is alone in an area and gains their own goals without impacting any human being in any way, should this person really feel guilty?
I can of agree to a point of what this member is talking about that it shouldn't matter GAME wise what one does if there is no penalty to anyone else or the environment as well. Does their cheat effect lag? Does the cheat effect game play on the world? If not, how would anyone know?
If it does game wise, lag wise and such, certainly it shouldn't be allowed.

Yes, as soon as another member shows up, there will be an impact. But if no one is around, can anyone hear the stump fall? And should one really feel guilty as how he took him down?

In the bigger picture, as I've said before, it comes down to personal values of what one believes right or wrong. I try not to let morality come into game play with a machine and other members doing whatever they do as long as it doesn't actually effect the game or players results or experiences. People will do as they want no matter how wrong it may seem to the rest of us.

its still brokeing terms of service you said you would follow the rules the reason is isnt fair if you use a third party bot to auto clicker i spent little a year to get to where i am without an auto clicker thats defeats the hard work i did @Bladekill1298

I've found that most places on the Internet follow some variation of the same rules (or should I say guidelines :)): use common sense, don't be rude, and don't cheat (don't do something that you shouldn't be able to do provided the system is working properly, or something that normal players can't do without deliberate action/a third-party program). So you missed that part of the TOS, didn't understand that part of the TOS, or didn't read the TOS at all. In 99% of your experiences on this game it's not even that big of a deal as long as you follow those rules. The more specific rules still apply, but general conduct should be common sense across the board. I would still advise reading over the TOS in full.

I believe the TOS was written to apply to a broad range of situations where a player might create an unfair benefit for themselves. It's not quite legalese but you might have to think about it to understand what their wording is trying to say. Most of the terms can be condensed into "don't hack us or anyone else". There might also be a story behind a rule or two.

I have nothing against macros on their own. In fact, I use AutoHotkey with Pulover's Macro Creator to automate tasks for myself daily (mouse/keyboard shortcuts, pasting my email in sign-up and log-in fields, pasting emotes like shruggie, setting up my active windows a certain way quickly and automatically). Adobe even integrated a macro into Photoshop because they understand how useful macros can be. I don't use them on TLOPO -- in fact, I hardly even play it.

In some games like certain first-person-shooters, macros can help you organize your inventory or shoot faster/better. But as far as TLOPO is concerned, I think it's totally understandable why they're prohibited. TLOPO is a point-and-click MMO where people point and click for hours in succession. Automating this process when you have the ability to do so might be the most intuitive thing to do, but it also eliminates the bulk of the game's content. So on top of being a boring waste of computing power, it's considered cheating.

The ban probably won't be lifted, and it'll count as an infraction on your account. After several infractions your account can be banned permanently. It doesn't mean you aren't welcome to play the game, it just means support might not be as forgiving in the future.

Ignore the taunting and "you had it coming" attitude in this thread if you can. Macros are totally innocent software but they can be used for cheating. Try to learn from your mistake and enjoy the game as it was intended from here on out. And let's stop beating a dead horse. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Isn't two days for a macro a bit harsh?
No, it's actually very light.

I wasn't even told not to marco it was just like bam your banned for two days. If someone had told macroing wasn't allowed I wouldn't have been macroing.
You were told not to macro in the terms of service. Perhaps you should read them.

Plus, I'm banned for the whole weekend. At least let a first timer play for the weekend.
No.

its two days though what the heck am I supposed to do then
Go outside. Play another game. Get a job. Make some friends. Start learning another language. I don't care.

No they do have the same guidelines its just more people are accustomed to doing it :)
Then you should become unaccustomed to doing it with all due haste.

I choose the play I want to play the game.
Irrelevant.

If I want to go afk and have a bot do all the work for me I can do that for enjoyment. If I want to occasionally macro I can do that. If I want to make an AI to play the game for me I can do that.
Wrong.

Might as well make a new account too because im not waiting two darn days
Perhaps you should improve your patience.

I openingly said I macroed thats why I got banned
That was a stupid decision.

Also, I don't find macroing (shooting while im away) as cheating as compared to either botting or hacking. Either way, I don't consider it as cheating because its PvM. If its a PvM game then it shouldn't matter what you do.
Your perspective on this issue is irrelevant.

Saying that you an intellectual, do not want to follow the rules of TLOPO does not mean you are exempt from the rules of TLOPO. If you play TLOPO you must abide by their rules, it it their game, not yours. If you have seen other people doing the same or worse in other games, good for you, you have the ability of sight. That does not affect anything TLOPO wise, you still are not allowed to do it if they say you can not.
