Sea Legs
Avast me hearties!
First up, apologies for rather blatantly joining the forum to try to raise awareness of our game. Hopefully I won't be forced to walk the plank just yet, and in time to come we may be drinking grog and sinking shanties together.
Secondly, we're not asking for any money, the game isn't even for sale!
My crew and I got together a few months back to make a game for a competition. We submitted a very stripped down version of the game, but enjoyed the concept enough that we decided to carry on working on it. However, we're not a professional development team, there's just a few of us and we have real jobs, wives, kids etc. So we wanted to see how much interest there would be in the game to help decide how much of our limited spare time we keep committing to the project. So we've put the game on Steam Greenlight.
And now I'm here asking if you might take a look, try the demo, and if it's something you'd like to see down the line (after further development) then please vote and spread the link around.
The game is of a different ilk to the MMO and simulation type games already on here, it's a fast paced 'loot n shoot' arena battle game. Hopefully though you will find it scratches a different piratey-itch for when you don't quite have the time for an epic voyage.
Here's a link to the steam greenlight page: http://goo.gl/IF4oNN
You can see our 'trailer' based on the prototype here:
We made a unity 'webplayer' version of the prototype so that it can be played via a browser rather than needing to download and install it. You can try it here: http://ssgg.uk/spacebucklers
Thanks for your time.
If you have any comments or questions about the game please leave them here, we'll try to take anything useful on board.
