This is a low priority suggestion for visual purposes.
I was recently in a crew looting at sea when we ported at Isla Tormenta to collect our cargo shares. I never really gave it much thought until now, but I think it would make the game look a whole lot more polished if players didn't all spawn in the exact same spot.
As I gave it a bit more thought, it really isn't an uncommon sight to see in many games. The game considers a given coordinate (or several) in the level as the spawnpoint(s) for a given island, so when players go to that island they will end up in one of those (usually) three or four places.
But if it were in any way possible, I think this could polish up the game with a slight sense of realism.
Players may spawn within a certain radius of a point in the world rather than inside, avoiding those ten-handed clawlike monsters we know all too well, and adding a realistic touch to the game. If the radius is too small and there are many players, it should be noted that they will probably spawn into a circle, and this might be even worse looking than having everyone all in one spot.
I pitched this idea to the crew moments after we ported, and a couple of people agreed, which prompted me to make this thread.
