I'd prefer to watch the prequels over the new films. It's not that they are better films, because the are most certainly NOT, I just enjoy the prequels more than I do the newer films. I have a nostalgic connection to them and I find the universe they created interesting and worthy of more films. It seems people are afraid to touch the prequel timeline due to the negative connotation it has, but I would personally love to see a new movie taking place perhaps during the clone wars, with a completely different (and better) story.

Was it necessary to bring up the abomination that takes the form of the prequels?

Anyways, I loved the Last Jedi. Here are my favorite scenes:

When the First Order ships jumped out of hyperspace - Snoke’s ship is 60 kilometers in Wingspan! It’s just so awesome

Destruction of the resistance ships - gotta love frigates and corvettes being destroyed.

    Every single Vice-Admiral Holdo scene.

The Yoda cameo. Gosh that really connected with me, especially when he burned down the library: ‘read them, have you? Page turners, they were not’. Empire Strikes Back is proof that more Yoda means better movie.

Destruction of that casino city thing. Even in real life, treating animals like that is not okay, and is found in areas such as Zoos, Horse racing etc. It passed on a good message.

The Jedi temple caretakers and the cute bird things. Loved em.

When Kylo orders all Walkers to fire on Luke but then Luke emerges as if nothing happened. That was funny to see Kylo enraged.

When R2D2 shows Luke the Leia recording from all those years ago. That was iconic.

The prequels are good in some respects, but only Revenge of the Sith is good enough for me to really enjoy.

"Star Wars" is not just a franchise, not just films, no. It's a whole world, with its unique history, characters, laws and rules. This cultural phenomenon is perhaps the most iconic line of films that exists at the moment.
