There is a weird bug where if you are "out of range" you can just take aim then rapid fire with a repeater.

If i'm understanding this correctly, when you're "Out of range" and start shooting at a target you still do damage?

If you use take aim beforehand, yes. Take aim should only affect 1 shot, not all the shots that follow.
