Notorious Pirate
Tis but on the horizon, maties!!! Have ye heard the garbs flippin'an' tellin' yarns of what romple-rousin' will be done this year? Upon your common shore or across the seas, what's there do when there's an empty on a knee???
:rumgone:

i was able to. i think interning at disney when potco was launched (coinciding with the pirate and princess after hours parade/event) and the annual truck or treating as Jaquelina Finch back home helped me disassociate talking like a pirate/dressing up as one with the game itself.

what also helped was taking part in a forum game on jac's another remake forums, "Take the Rum" that Teague started. in addition to being totally ignorant to the game/tlap day connections.

last year, i was able to go to krispy kreme but changed my clothes before leaving work to get me box of doughy doubloons. ..i havent's heard much news about it for this year and worried if any of you sorts knows what else to do fer some pirating fun ..sniffles..

This is just a theory (meaning there's 'no' proof behind this)...

...but I have long suspected that Disney's decision to shutter namely POTCO on September 19th, 2013 - aka "International, Talk Like a Pirate Day," was perhaps maybe a last gesture made to the POTCO community as a whole as a result of the Revive POTCO petition which was heavily promoted during that particular point-in-time.

What makes me personally question that theory though is the way in which POTCO "Game Masters/Disney staff" legitimately and supposedly logged onto POTCO Abassa/Tortuga on that day and minimized somewhat - I feel - the shock, emotion, loss, and frustration everyone was feeling on that day due to the circumstance.

*I even recall at one point a "Game Master" voicing a suggestion for everyone to shift their interests towards City of Heroes online game although I understood at that point that POTCO players (themselves) could take on GM appearance and attributes as a result of the game itself becoming fully corrupt.
