I want to cry lol, I got moved to level 3 and I really dont want to spend several hours grinding again.... >.< is there no way at all to fix it? I just made a thread about it before I saw this one.

Unfortunately with any rollback, ALL players are subject to it IF they had been logged on and playing during the time in question that caused issues and therefore caused a rollback. This INCLUDES all TLOPO staff and developers as well. It's not ideal, but sometimes it's necessary, and quite frankly the better of the two evils.

This is why when things are found that cannot be fixed or causes a serious issue, they close the game and roll back AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so that there is less 'damage' dealt to everyone's notoriety, leveling and inventory.

Like many have said above... This WILL happen in BETA. But believe me, the devs would prefer that it didnt.

Also, keep in mind, POTCO did this more than once, and well AFTER full release... as many of the POTCO veterans know.

And when Disney did it they would roll it back often times 3-4 days, or maybe even a WEEK! TLOPO has only ever at most had a rollback of 12 hours.

I guess, as the saying goes, be careful what you wish for. Because there could always be a much worse scenario.

Would less damage be spend a day sailing gaining 1000 iron and then you guys rollback it so you gotta spend another darn day sailing or... Atleast give some type of headsup or whatever so we don't waste our time and you remove it like nothing not even adressing it

I think we are all in the same boat, so to speak. But, the game is in BETA so is to be expected. With this pirate, I had just inched sailing and 3 weapons closer to master and, poof, rolled back. But, hey, it's free and still in test mode.

Aside: The grinding is extremely monotonous and a major reason I fell off playing potco. After mastering 2 pirates it was just too much of a grind to go on. Too bad there isn't a way to level up weapons a bit faster, even if it is upgraded points per kill (or "defeat" if sensibilities reign).

Like the seas, try to roll with it as best you can.

They may not realize, 12 hours in advance, that a rollback is needed. It's really not that hard to grind to get levels and stuff back. Disney had rollbacks of several days, not just 12 hours. And, as Mike said, TLOPO has only rolled back the servers 12 hours whenever they've had to.

the game is not finished yet, it is in a stage of finding bugs and rollbacks to fix said bugs, this is known as beta

It is not known in beta or even in early access to rollback gameplay and wasted hours without any headsup to even why.

That's just an excuse

ok...would you rather to have it not rolled back and have what ever the bug was to crash the game having it down for a few days or just roll back a few hours and everything good?

What they should do like mentioned in another post is not rollback a weekend when players are most active, your arguement makes no sense at all, would not have taken a few days.

Whenever they find bugs, they want to get rid of them as soon as possible. The team is spread out over multiple time zones, so they can't always do this at optimal times. What he is referring to is when Disney used to rollback their beta servers several days. We think that there's going to be a post explaining the rollback some time today, but, this is a beta, and nothing is guaranteed. We are not entitled to that, however. In my opinion, the rollback may have been to ensure that the bugs were gone, and that they hopefully would not pop up again. You'll be able to loot/grind back whatever it is you lost at some point.
