The Hobbit

It will be a good movie, wont beat any of the lotr movies, they only have some of the original cast, which is a major downside for me, still can't wait for it though.

Yea i personally think that the Lord of the Rings movies where some of the best movies were some of the best movies i have ever seen! But, no one has seen the Hobbit yet so we don't know all i know is part 2 is going to be better then part 1.:D

Yeah, I watched an exclusive interview, they said they only got SOME of the original cast, at least gandalf is still being acted by Ian McKellen.

For many of us, "The Hobbit" is - perhaps - the main reason we beckon the call to congregate at our local movie theater this December 14th, 2012 . As fans dedicated to the popular film series, I undoubtedly expect that many of us would give second thought to the long standing/waiting-in-lines required at both (movie) ticket and (concession) food/popcorn lines.
The movie - afterall - reaffirms the fact that the LOTR experience is still alive and well within many of us despite the fact that the last film within the series ('Return of the King') debut on-screen way back in 2003. Since then, many of us LOTR fans have been waiting patiently in high anticipation of Peter Jackson's next visual interpretation of J. R. R. Tolkien's professional writings.

As a fan of the film series (I have yet to have read any of Tolkien's books :sad1:), "The Hobbit" represents to me a chance to revert back-in-time to an adventure supportive of The Shire, second breakfast, and HAIRY feet.

As a fan, I cannot think of "anything" more worthwhile in spending both my money and time inorder to participate within this experience. :D:eek: :drink:

The hair on my feet are "tingling." :p (Movie will be released here in the US, tomorrow; however I probably won't be able to see for another week or so :sad1:).

Haven't seen it and idk if I'm going to, but from the amateur reviews I've read on FB only the hardcore Lord of the Rings fans enjoyed it and everyone else "wasted 3 hours there life". <---Quoting a friend

Much better then critics say (although IMBD says it has 4.5 stars, while Rotten Tomatoes gives it 3), although it didn't beat LOTR. The acting is superb. 48 FPS is not that bad, but I think it is personal preference...
Although, I did think that the orcs should have still been real actors like in LOTR, as opposed to CGI:cool:.
