The Hobbit

Been planning on watching this for a whole week! Due to other things, I have had to delay in watching the movie.
*In about an hour and 1/2, I will be pounding down popcorn, wearing my 3D glasses, and hopefully have a chance to escape into a different realm for about 3 hours.

Its uncinemetic. You feel like you're watching a video game and not a movie.
I had seen it in 3D but not totally for sure if it was shown 48 frames, per second or not. Wait. For 3D, was that required for this film?

Another question: Why is it just about every time I watch a LOTR film, there is an evil troll that "looks" like someone I work with at my job of employment??? (No lies; it's the truth, lol).

Lol thats very interesting! Maybe that's the actor that played a troll :o :o :o
Just saw it in.... 2d... still good but at the end when I saw 'directed by peter jackson' and they still hadn't killed smog I wanted to cry.

Now to wait for movie #2 :D

- waiting in lotr fan attire -
Yeah! I got so ticked when I saw that, I'd rather see a 9 hour movie than have them come out a year after each other, Although I might gain 10 lb eating all the popcorn I do. Eye opening kinda got me anxious and mad.

If you saw it in the 48frames, you'd know. I cant answer your second question... lol

I personally think that the 48fps works for this kind of film, but it would not work for a film in a small closed space with people mostly discussing, etc. I was stunned by the large sweeping scenes of the dwarves traveling through Middle-Earth, but in the relatively enclosed space of Bilbo's house when he and Gandalf are talking, it didn't really work.
I don't know if it's possible, but maybe they could have shot some scenes in 48fps and others in the traditional 24fps.

Loved all the other movies but this one. eh......... not so much it was 3 hour long movie about going to cave to kill a dragon. then never started fighting the dragon. wasn't too exciting i fell asleep

Aye, I feel the same way...looking back now. *The plot was based on a quest that really never fully developed (at least this time around anyways).

Still, it was a good movie but...:popcorn:I will be expecting a bit more out of the next one!
