Wanted Pirate
I see that the options menu has been requested by the community... the team has been on it tonight!

Personally, I think it's a bit better than POTCO's. What do you guys think? And how do you guys like random updates?

By the way, please don't think we're only focusing on things like this! One of our developers is only one until around 2 PM Pirates Time and he's the one mainly working on the hardcore things! (and I help)

Another thing: special thanks to a few of the other devs since I actually fixed the game options menu and repositioned X button (taking around 40 minutes) but thanks to Git messing up, all my progress exploded and I lost it... and a few other developers came and did this instead!

Good job, by the way I think you should just make 1 thread where you update instead of making a new thread every time you change something it would make it all much easier to find and other reasons.

Well, I've seen POI making threads, so unless a staff member is against that, I think it's fine.

Maybe show some of its functionality? I'm not doubting that it doesn't perform the way it is suppose to, just so w can see how it works.

Well I can assure to you that it works as expected, you can change the resolution, put it in full screen, and change other options. It seems there is one little tiny bug that can easily be fixed.

Awesome, btw I love these frequent updates. And it would be aWesome if you could keep that up! (: thanks

I am pleased to see the team making good progress. Thanks for sharing, @xXWilee999Xx :) I do have a question though. Why are you guys rendering the game in OpenGL for the showcases, when DirectX9 is completely usable and should work with a line in a config file?

I don't see any reason why someone would want to use directx at all.
OpenGL 2 ~ DirectX 9 | 2004
OpenGL 4 ~ DirectX 11 | 2011
There is also OpenGL 4.5 ~ DirectX 11/12 | current

So with all that, why use dx9? For few months developers dropped dx9 support and wiped it out of engine (it's back now because there are still people who use it). Also dx9 is super obsolete comparing to modern dx 10/11 or openGL 3/4.

Now this is what you can do with Panda OpenGL renderer: http://www.panda3d.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=17050

We are using the Panda OpenGL.

Just as long as whatever engine or whatever the word is (I'm completely clueless to programming, lol) it runs on my my 2010 Mac laptop like it did before.

There is a difference? If so, please show me where.

Also, what is wrong with the ship's rigging??

Aside from that, why did you guys choose to use a War Sloop instead of the Dinghy/Lt. Sloop that was traditionally there?

The x button and the other buttons had to be repositioned, and I just realized that the side buttons have disappeared and aren't in the picture but will be fixed. We aren't really sure what's wrong with the ship other than the fact it's a graphical issue, and finally we just decided to make it load a random type of ship, not just a war sloop.

So it loads a different ship each time you log in?

You're missing a few of the options on the side, we had to fix their positioning. Here's a screenshot of the corrected GUI, it may be useful to reference. There is also supposed to be a tutorial button below interface, that one hasn't been showing up for us, we're still looking into why. Probably some really stupid error preventing it from opening, most usually are.
