The Legend of The Black Warrior

Chapter One: The Beginning
At the beginning of my journey, I had nothing but my goofy name, the clothes on my back, and a strong urge to become a pirate. Allow me to tell you my story. I was washed up on the shores of Tortuga with only my cutlass, my gun, and the clothes on my back. I worked hard fighting off the forces of the East India Trading Company and Jolly Roger's skeleton army. Doing all of this earned a decent amount of income. I decided after some deep consideration, I wanted to captain a ship of my own. I also decided I best would buy the ship when I find a nice crew. I was searching Tortuga for crew mates, when a short, stout male pirate came up to me. "Hey, wanna join my guild?" He asked me in a gnomish voice. "No, that's alright." I responded. "Thanks for nothing, jerk!" Then he passed by me. He spotted another pirate, and asked him the same. Again, he was denied. I continued my journey to find crew mates. Along my travels in Tortuga, I spotted a young man, who sported green traveler's pants, a black feather hat, a purple vest, and black boots. "Ahoy! Might I have your name?" I asked him. "I'm Cannonskull, and you?" He responded. "Richard Cannonwalker be me name." I responded. I shook his hand. "Would you be interested in joining my crew?" I asked him. "Sure! What kind of ship do you have?" Cannonskull asked. "I was planning on buying a War Frigate for our crew, but for travel I have a sloop, because you know you still gotta get around the isles somehow." I said. "True." Cannonskull responded to me. We went on my sloop and sailed to Padres Del Fuego to search for more crew mates. We were on our way to Fort Dundee, when we saw two people talking. One of them seemed to have significance to me. He was tall, and had lots of muscle on him. He wore a black skull-covered bandana, blue pants, a green vest that didn't cover his chest, and slick grey boots. Me and Cannonskull walked up to him. "Ahoy sirs!" I said. "Hi." The buff one said. "Hi. Well Stefan, I better be on my way." The other one said. He walked off into Fort Dundee. "I am Stefan." The remaining one said. "What are your names?" "I am Richard, and this is Cannonskull." I responded. "Hiya." Cannonskull said to Stefan. "Would you like to join our crew?" I asked Stefan. "Sure." He responded. Me, Cannonskull, and Stefan went to Outcast Isle, an island off the coast of Padres Del Fuego. "Is anybody there?" I asked. A figure was walking up to us. He wore a green overcoat, a black feathered hat, tan pants, a brown vest, and slick grey boots similar to Stefan's. "Hey." He said. "Ahoy, I am Richard, to my left is Cannonskull, and to my right is Stefan." I responded. "Hi Cannonskull and Stefan." He said. "Hey." Stefan said. "Hiya." Cannonskull said. "And what is your name?" I asked "Sven Calicoswain." He said. "Sven, would you like to join our crew?" I asked him. "Sounds like fun. Sure thing." He said. We went back to Padres. We saw a man sitting at the edge of the dock. He had a short red coat on, tan pants like Sven's, and he had blonde short hair. "Hey." I said to him. "Hi there." He responded. "Wanna join our crew?" I asked him. "Yeah." He responded. "My name is Bill Sailparr, and yours?" "I'm Richard." I said. Everybody else introduced themselves. "I think our crew is good." Cannonskull said. Everybody else agreed. "Yeah, we're good." Sven said. "No we aren't. I have the strangest feeling like, there's somebody else we need." I said. "But, we should pack it in for the night. I know this abandoned fort on an island near the edge of the caribbean. We can stay there for the night." I said. We sailed there. "Wow, this place looks just like Kingshead." Everybody commented. "Quite. Now, pick your sleeping place. We meet at the top of the fort at seven in the morning tomorrow." I said. As I was sleeping, I heard faint voices. "This place is awesome." One of the voices said. "Totally. It looks just like kingshead." All of the voices were feminine, and whispers. I woke up, and went outside my small living space at the top of the fort. I saw three figures. I rubbed my eyes, and realized it was six in the morning, an hour from when me and the crew were supposed to meet. "Can I help you?" I said. "Woah, it's a person!" One of them said. I knew by their voices they were girls of course. "Hi person. What's your name?" One of them asked. "I'm Richard, and you?" I responded. "I'm Kelsey Black fox." She said. Kelsey wore a white skirt, black shirt, and had long black hair. "And you?" I asked the other one. "I'm Esmerelda Sunvane." She said. "Well, would you two like to join my crew?" I asked. "Sure!" Kelsey responded with excitement. "Of course." Esmerelda said. "Ugh, it's early." I said. "Yeah. We like to venture late at night." Kelsey said. "But it's like six in the morning!" I responded. "Time flies when you're exploring I guess." Kelsey said. I let out a soft chuckle. Me, Kelsey, and Esmerelda talked away until seven in the morning. "It's time!" I said. "Time for what?" Esmerelda and Kelsey asked. I ran from the entrance to my living space, up the stairs, and to the top of the fort. I watched the sun as it rose from the other end of the horizon. My crew had come about that time. "Good morning crew." I said to them. They brought up somebody. This person had the same body build as Stefan, but wore a very deep black overcoat, black pants, black boots, a fancy belt, feathered hat, and a dark grey shirt. "This man is a trespasser." Sven announced. "Who are the girls?" Bill asked. "Those are Esmerelda and Kelsey." I said. Since the sun had rose, I could see them clearer now. Esmerelda wore a short blue coat, white pants, and very long boots. I walked up to the "trespasser." "Hello, who are you?" I asked him. "I am Dog Pugfish, and i'd be interested in joining your crew, Mr. Cannonwalker." Dog said. "Accepted. Now our crew is completed." I said. "Now, it is time to buy the boat...."

Chapter Two: Setting Sail
We sailed on my Sloop to Tortuga. My crew stayed on the dock and fiddled with their shoes, or straightened their hats, or whatever they felt like. I had gone over to O'Malley. "Ahoy mighty sailor of the seas, may I help you?" O'Malley said cheerfully, with a stupid grin on his face. "I'd like to purchase a ship from you." I requested. "Alright. We have three types of ships: Galleons, Frigates, and Sloops. There are three classes of ships: Light, normal, and War. Lights are smallest, normal is in the middle, and war are biggest. Galleons are very big and can take some shots to the side, but is very slow and vulnerable. Sloops are fast, and good for speedy manuevers, but can't take lots of damage. Frigates are my personal favorite, because they have the best of both worlds: speed, and strength." O'Malley explained to me. "I'll take a War Frigate in that case!" I said. "I will name it, the Black Warrior." I said. "Good choice!" O'Malley said. I walked over to my crew. "Alright, we got our ship. Let's set sail." I said. We all got on my ship, and started sailing. Everybody manned a cannon, except me, because i was the navigator. We came across a gigantic ship, belonging to the Royal Navy. "Navy War Galleon to the right side!" I yelled. Everybody ran to the right side, and grabbed a cannon. We shot at the enemy ship. "Use upgraded ammo!" I yelled. Some started to shoot firebrands (cannonballs made of fire). Sven shot a thunderbolt at a mast of the gigantic ship, and a mast fell. "Keep at it!" I yelled. Everybody started shooting at the masts. The masts started falling like dominoes. Eventually, all the masts had fallen off. We left the ship defenseless, and almost sunk. We boarded it. Me, Dog, Sven, Stefan, and Cannonskull fought the enemies, while Esmerelda and Kelsey got the loot from the hull of the ship and passed it over to our ship. I was in a battle of swords with the captain of the navy ship, Bartholomew Wiggs. After all of the navy crew was defeated, my crew came to help me against Wiggs. We defeated him. We boarded our ship again, and watched as the royal navy crew sunk to Davy Jones' locker. We had countless battles with enemy ships over the next few weeks. It was a stormy night, and things just didn't seem all right. "Cap'n, I think we should head back to port." Esmerelda said. "No." I said. We went near Isla Tormenta, and saw a huge ship. "Woah captain, look at that." Stefan said. This ship took the shape of a Carrack. The ship had to be at least three times as big as the Black Warrior. The ship was painted black, and the sails were torn and painted red. We went up closer. It suddenly turned to us and came at us at a whopping 25 knots! We realized why: because the ship had 10 masts. Our ship could only do about 12 knots. "Attack!" I yelled. Everybody grabbed a cannon and shot their best ammo at it. Firebrands, Thunderbolts, Furys, whatever they got. After flinging powerful ammo at this ship, it seemed to have taken almost no damage. "What the..." I was confused. We started shooting at the masts. After lots of shooting, only two came down. "This ship is tough..." I thought. I looked on the side to see the name. The name of the ship, according to the side was "The Wan Corsair." It shot at us, and we shot at it. It shot a broadside of firebrand at us, and took about half our ship's health. "This is difficult." I said. I was sailing to avoid us from being hit by the enemy's cannonballs, and my crew was shooting at the masts of the Wan Corsair. Three sails down, then four, then five, then six, then seven, then eight, then nine, and then finally, all of the masts were destroyed. The crew was shooting at the deck, hoping to hit the crew mates. We looked more carefully, and saw nobody on the ship. No sailor, no cannoneers, not anybody. We continued to shoot. Eventually, 3 flashes shot into the air. One was red, one was blue, and one was green. They exploded in the air like fireworks. Then the red one went off, our small masts in the front and in the back both fell off. "What the heck!" I yelled, confused. When the green one when off, one of our big masts fell off. When the blue went off, the other fell off. The Wan Corsair shot at our hull again. They must have shot fifty furies at it. Our ship had miraculously survived. We shot at the enemy ship again. I put Esmerelda and Kelsey on repair duties. They had started to patch up the damage on the ship. "I know a trick..." I said. I went behind the ship, so my crew could shoot at the back. As the ship turned, we followed the back. We kept shooting at the back until the ship was destroyed. We boarded it to see if anybody was there. Suddenly, a black shadow of a man appeared. We had found out, it was Foulberto Smasho....

Chapter Three: A Grueling Battle
We were in shock that Foulberto was captaining a ship. "I thought Foulberto was forever sealed inside the Cave of Lost Souls." I said. "I found a flaw in the curse. Any gypsy can break it." Foulberto said. "Well, why would any Gypsy break such a curse for you, of all people?" Dog asked. Foulberto held a dagger to Dog's throat. We all gasped. "Quiet you! I wasn't finished." Foulberto said angrily. "Anyways, I convinced a Gypsy to release me from my curse, and in return, i'd give her one of my precious Silver Freezes." Foulberto said. We all drew our swords, and Foulberto summoned his crew mates. Foulberto simply sat back and watched us fight the crew mates. "Taste metal, fiend!" I yelled. I defeated one of the crew mates. Me and the crew kept swinging out swords back and forth. Eventually, Kelsey was knocked out. "Don't worry, I got you!" Esmerelda said. Esmerelda started giving Kelsey a potion, but then she was knocked out too. "Bill, I need you to take the girls back to the ship." I said. Bill was then knocked out too. So one-by-one, I took Kelsey, Esmerelda, and Bill back over to the ship. When I came back, Dog, Sven, and Stefan had finished the ghosts. Foulberto walked up to us. He clapped. "Very worthy adversaries, but this fight won't be easy for you..." Foulberto said. And with the flick of his wrist, he threw a dagger at Stefan, and knocked him out. Then he threw one at Sven, and knocked him out. Then he threw one at Dog, and knocked him out too. "This will be fun...." Foulberto said. Foulberto put away his throwing knives and drew a dagger. I drew my sword, and we started fighting. Esmerelda and Bill gained consciousness during the fight between me and Foulberto. They slowly took Dog, Sven, and Stefan back over to the ship. I knew that I wouldn't be able to keep this up much longer, so I had to think fast. I tripped him with my foot. He dropped all of his weapons onto the floor, and I picked them all up. When he got up, he was more angry than ever and ready to continue the fight, but soon realized I had all of his weapons. "Oh gosh darnit, it's too bad I don't have anymore weapons." Foulberto said in a sarcastic voice. "Wait a minute, I do." Then Foulberto quickly pulled out a throwing knife, and lodged it in my right shoulder. "Gah!" I yelped in pain. I fell to the ground. Foulberto held a dagger to my throat. "The afterlife is upon you." Foulberto said. My crew did something smart in this situation. Sven shot a thunderbolt cannonball at Foulberto, and damaged him bad. They all started shooting thunderbolt and firebrand at him. They would make him weaker, and weaker, and weaker. After he had finally fallen defeated, I stole all of his weapons and went back to my ship. "Quite some loot here." I said. I put all of his special weapons in the hull, along with everything else we secretly stole from his ship (treasure chests, cargo crates, anything that was golden, etc). My crew was about to destroy the ship. "Do not destroy it." I said. They all looked at me, confused. "Why not?" They asked. "We're going to reel this into port." I said. So, I drove the Black Warrior, with the Wan Corsair attached to it by some rope. When we reached Tortuga, everybody looked at us in a funny way. O'Malley came up to us. "Wh-where did you find such a marvelous sh-ship?" He said, stammering. "We boarded it and defeated its crew, and decided to take it into port." I said. "Would you like me to replace the sails on it for you?" O'Malley asked. "Uh, sure." We said. He was doing building stuff on the ship. "I guess we should call it a night." I said. We all took our share of today's loot. I had received a Silver Freeze. We all went to my small shack on Tortuga for the night, but something didn't quite feel right....

Chapter Four: Odd Feelings
I was up early in the morning, observing my new Silver Freeze. Esmerelda woke up, and rubbed her eyes. "Richard? Why are you always up so early?" She asked. "Not sure. I like to observe things when nobody else does." I responded, still looking at my Silver Freeze. "When I hold the Silver Freeze, I almost feel like i'm being watched...." I said. "That's a bit odd." Esmerelda said. There was a knock at the door. "Ugh, stop making noises!" Dog said, sleep-talking. "Who is it?" I asked. "Special delivery." The person on the other side of the door said. I opened the door. He handed me a large rectangular box. "Thank you." I said. He held out his hand. I gave him some gold, and he went away. I opened the package, and saw a sword was inside. This sword had a black and golden handle, and the blade was made completely out of gold. "Wow, this sword looks expensive." I said. "Yeah, it's totally cool." Esmerelda said. I read a note attached to it. "Dear Richard, if you are reading this, I am dead. Before I died, I had a cache of weapons hidden at Padres Del Fuego. I wanted you to have this Lost Sword. Warm regards, Humberto Diaz." The letter said. "Who is Humberto Diaz?" Esmerelda asked me. "Well, before I was pirating in the Caribbean, I was a wealthy Spanish merchant. After my shop crashed, I turned to a young Spanish explorer, Humberto Diaz. He was rounding up a crew for exploration of gold in the Caribbean. About 2 miles from an unmarked island, Humberto started to get frustrated because he thought he was lost. I jumped overboard and swam to this island." I told her. "I'm unsure why he died, or why he gave me this sword." I said. I held the sword. "This sword looks amazing." I said. I moved it around in fencing motions to get a feel for it. I waved it in a circle to the sky, and turned into a ghost. "What the!" I said, startled. Everybody woke up to my voice, and saw I was a ghost. "What did you do Esmerelda?!" Kelsey asked. "I did nothing!" Esmerelda said. "What happened to Richard?" Dog and Sven asked. "Richard, why are you a ghost?" Stefan asked. "I don't know!" I said. And at that moment, I turned to normal. "That was odd..." I said. "Yeah." Everybody agreed. "But suddenly, I feel almost like... tingly." I said. "Perhaps you're just excited about this sword. It's pretty awesome you know." Dog said. "Yeah, it's a nice sword." Stefan said. "No, it's like a bad tingly. It's like there's something inside of me moving around." I said. "Maybe you should see that Humberto Diaz guy about it." Esmerelda suggested. "Yeah. He would know about it." Kelsey agreed. "But the letter said by the time I read it, he would be dead." I said. "Maybe he isn't. Maybe somebody in town would know." Dog suggested. "Okay. Let's go get the word on the street!" I said. We went outside... "Okay, we should all go to different people. Esmerelda, how about you visit Orinda Le Jeune. Kelsey can visit Carver at the Faithful bride. I'll visit Johnny Mcvane at King's Arm. Dog, you can visit the peddler. Stefan, you can visit Doc Grog. And Sven, you can visit Andrew Bowdash at his mansion. We can all meet up at this spot when we're done." I said. Everybody split up....

Chapter Five: The Lore of Humberto Diaz
I went to Johnny McVane, while he was polishing his counter. "You need to be nice and shiny for the nice inspector man tomorrow." He said. I walked up to him. "Ahoy! Can I help you Richard?" He asked. "Yeah. Do you know anything about Humberto Diaz?" I asked. He didn't look up from his counter as he talked. "He was a spanish explorer who came to the Caribbean in search of riches, but instead found many weapons, in which he cursed. After people wanted them, he locked himself in a mine with the remaining members of his loyal crew." Johnny said. I took out the sword he sent me. "Well, he sent me this before he 'died'." I said. Johnny held it, and looked carefully at it. "This was one of his 6 legendary swords of his. He cursed all of his swords with voodoo. They allowed the user to transform into ghosts, or freeze their enemies, and many other things." Johnny said. Johnny gave the sword back. "Thanks for the information." I said. I gave him a few dabloons, and went on my way. I went back to the meeting spot. I waited for a few minutes before everybody returned. "Doc Grog said Humberto Diaz was a spanish explorer who went nuts and locked himself in a mine." Stefan said. "That's what Carver said." Kelsey said. Everybody seemed to have got that same information. "Well, I guess our mission is clear." I said. "We are to find the mine in which Humberto Diaz is in, and see what's up with him." I said. "Orinda said the mine he's in is on an island called Ravens Cove, far near Cuba." Esmerelda said. "I guess we should head out then." I said. "Let's gather some materials for the trip." Sven suggested. "Yeah." I agreed. "I'll go get the materials from the shack." I said. I went inside the shack. I went inside, and felt a strange presence. I grabbed a crate of Hardtack Biscuits, some grog, dried beans, and some meat that we could later salt. "Alright, I got some nice food." I said. I turned around, and saw a ghost. "What the, why..." I stammered. "I was informed you were going you were going after my leader, El Patron." The ghost said. "I was never going to find this El Patron person you speak of. I was going to find my former captain, Humberto Diaz." I said. "He goes by El Patron now." The ghost said. The ghost started beating me down, then put a bag over my head and duct tape on my mouth. "Don't move, or i'll kill you slow and painfully." He said....

Chapter Six: Crazy Ned's Mission
I woke up hours later in a daze. "Huh? Where am I?" I asked. I was tied to a chair, in a rundown bar. I saw two ghosts in front of me. "Hello, i'm Ben Clubheart." One of them said. "And I am Sadie Clubheart." The other said. "And i'm Richard. Can you now explain to me why i'm all tied up?" I asked. "I know this seems odd, but we aren't with the enemy." Ben said. "Then why did you kidnap me and threaten to kill me?" I asked. "Because you're very foolish for trying to go up again Humberto Diaz. He has an army of ghosts that can rip you apart." Sadie said. "Listen, i'm pretty sure I can take this guy." I said. "I don't know. Maybe you should talk to Crazy Ned about it." Ben said. "Who's Crazy Ned?" I asked. "Crazy Ned is the last human inhabitant of this island. If he survived living here, he probably knows how to defeat the ghosts." Sadie said. "Alright, i'll go talk to him. Could you let me free?" I asked. "Sure." Ben and Sadie said. They untied me from the chair. I walked outside of the tavern. "Good luck young warrior!" Ben said on my way out. When I was outside, I heard moaning. Then, I saw a red figure walk up to me. "Watch out!" I heard somebody yell. I was grabbed, and dragged behind a half broken box. "Are you insane?" The man said. The man was bald with a white headband, orange shirt, and dark maroon pants. "I'm Edward Brittles. Some call me Ned, and come call me Crazy. Just about everybody calls me Crazy Ned." He said. "Nice to meet you, and um, what is that red thing that was approaching me?" I asked. "That's a Rage Ghost. They're wickedly powerful, so don't go near them." Ned said. "Alright Mr. Brittles." I said. "Say, could you help me with something?" I asked. "What do ye want!?" He asked. "I need to fight the one they call 'El Patron.' The Clubhearts told me to come to you." I said. "Yes. I own the key to an elevator shaft." Ned said. "So?" I asked. "The elevator shaft is the only way to get to El Patron's mine. Would ye like the key?" Ned said. "Yes, i'd like the key please." I said. "No! What if you just run off with it and sell it or something?" Ned asked. "I won't sell it. Come on mate." I said. "These ghosts are my friends. Get them to personally tell me you should receive the key, and then I may trust you with it." Ned said. I wrote down the mission in my notebook, and the names of the ghosts I needed to visit. "Only when you get these five ghosts' trust, will I give you the key to the elevator shaft which leads to El Patron." Ned said. The sun started to rise, and the red figure disappeared. "Yes, finally!" Ned said. He got out from behind his box and wandered the streets. I watched him, and then he turned to me. "Do yer mission, or i'll smite ye with me ghostly powers!" He said. "Alright, alright, i'm going to visit the ghosts...."

Chapter Seven: "Crazy" Ned Approves
I was about to head to visit the ghosts, when I saw a few figures running up in the distance. "Richard!" One of them yelled. "Crew?" I said. They ran up to me, and revealed themselves to be my crew. "Thank god, we're reunited!" I said. "Yeah. We saw two ghosts carry you out the door. We tried to catch them, but they were too fast." Esmerelda said. "So we just followed the ghosts, and found this key on the way." Stefan said, as he held up a key. "That's a key to the elevator shaft! It's time to smite thee!" Ned said. "Hiyah!" He said, as he tried to blast some voodoo magic at us. "What the heck? Hiyah!" He tried again. He was distracted trying to figure out why his "powers" would work, so Stefan snuck up behind him, and snapped his neck. We heard a big crack, and he stood completely still. "I do not have ghostly powers. I will get a ship and exit this island and resume with my mining at Padres Del Fuego..." He said. He walked away, calm. "What was that?" The crew asked. "Himalayan Voodoo pinch." Stefan said. "I see." I said. "Now that nobody is here to stop us from using the key, let's go up the elevator shaft." I said. We walked into a small bridge-like cave about 20 feet long, and came out the other side. I stopped everybody. "What is THAT thing?" Kelsey asked, pointing to a rage ghost, similar to the one i encountered earlier. "That is a rage ghost. Ned said they're extremely dangerous, but I bet we can take it." I said. "I'll freeze it with my Silver Freeze throwing knives, then you guys bombard it with your guns." I said. I took out my Silver Freeze, and we ran after the ghost. I froze it, and everybody attacked it with guns. Suddenly, three bolts of lightning hit the spot the rage ghost was defeated, and there was a treasure chest. We all opened it, and saw what was inside. "Blue red party hats?" I asked. We all took one, coinsedentally there being enough for each of us to have one. We continued our journey to the elevator shaft. We eventually reached the shaft, which wasn't too far away from the spot we defeated the rage ghost. We went up the shaft, which made lots of noise on the way up. We walked up to a wooden bridge, and went across it. We went into El Patron's Mine, and cautiously traveled through it, being sure to avoid ghosts. Whenever a ghost attacked us, we all teamed on it to defeat it quickly. We eventually went near the door that led to El Patron's ship. We were told we couldn't pass, and Dr. Bellrog (a ghost guarding the door) sent his guard to attack us. It didn't take long for us to defeat him. "Please, spare my soul!" He said. He looked like he was about to cry. "You may pass." He said. We went through the door. We walked up to a plank leaned up against El Patron's immobile Carrack. When we reached the top, a completely black soul surrounded by black aura appeared, with 3 red ghosts. "Fight El Patron, the afterlife is upon you..."

Chapter Eight: Victory Is His
We all drew our swords, and started swinging. El Patron and his crewmates started attacking. "Oh no, this may not be good." Stefan said. We kept trying. We managed to defeat one of the crewmates. We continued to fight, as a voice said: "I am free! Thank you for freeing my soul." The voice said. We continued to fight. Everybody was weakened, while El Patron and one of his crewmates still stood. Me and my crew had been badly weakened. I was sword and sword with El Patron. "Guys, flee. I got this." I said. "But we can't ditch you!" Esmerelda said. "We must, if we wish to survive." Dog said. "No, we can't!!" Esmerelda yelled. She tried to stay on the ship, but Stefan and Dog took her off. Everybody else followed. I was still sword and sword with El Patron. When they finally let go of Esmerelda, she waited a few second before running after me. El Patron tripped her. "Ugh!" She said. I shoved El Patron to the ground, and quickly kneeled down to Esmerelda. "Are you alright?" I asked. "Richard, behind you!" She yelled. I felt a very sharp pain in my back, which traveled to my chest. I looked down, and saw part of El Patron's blade through my chest. I was in lots of pain. As I started to fade out, I saw figures carrying Esmerelda away. I said quietly to myself: "Thank goodness, she's safe." My vision started to fade. I was almost completely faded, when i saw my crew finally defeated El Patron. I finally completely faded out. My eyes were closed, and a light was shining through them. I slowly opened my eyes. Everything was very bright. The sky was white, the ground was white, and everything was white. I saw a white table, and a man sitting at it. He was eating chicken and rice, with see-through glass filled with rum. I noticed I didn't have a sword through me, and I was happier than i have ever been. I walked up to the man. He had lots of white hair on the side of his head, and a long white beard. He wore a white robe, and brown boots. "Hello sir, do I know you?" I asked him. He stopped eating, and turned his head towards me. "I don't think so. You might know some of my work, but I don't believe we've met face to face previous to this." He said. He looked very familiar. "I just feel like I know you from somewhere. What are some of your works?" I asked him. "Well, I designed some flying machines, and I made some very detailed paintings. Would you like to see them?" He asked. "Sure!" I said. He finished the last of his food and rum, and took me to an art museum. He took me to a familiar painting. "This is one of my pieces of work." He said. "Oh my, it's the Mona Lisa. That means, you're.... Leonardo da Vinci" I said. "Quite." He said. "But weren't you an artist from like two hundred years ago? How are you alive?" I asked. "I'm not. Neither are you." He said. "Huh?" I asked. "This is the land of the dead. The heavens." He said. "Aaah!" I yelled. My chest had a sudden shock, and I woke up. "Is he alright Doctor Grog?" Stefan asked. "He'll be fine. He'll just need to take a break from combat for a few days." Doctor Grog said. I completely openedmy eyes. "Huh?" I asked. "Richard, you died, but Doctor Grog revived you." Stefan said. Everybody else was gathered around me. "Thanks Doctor Grog." I said. I handed him a handful of gold. "Anytime guys, anytime." He said. "I had the most amazing time though in the heavens. I met Leonardo Da Vinci." I said. "Well, it wasn't your time. Maybe you'll be able to talk to Leonardo Da Vinci when you die for good." Doctor Grog said. "Yeah, it's not my time to die. I have a ship to captain, and a crew." I said. I sat up. "Are you alright?" Esmerelda asked. "I'm fine. Thanks for asking." I said. Later that night, I was sitting on the roof of my shack, while my crew was asleep. Esmerelda joined me. "Hey Esmerelda." I said. "Hey Richard." Esmerelda said. "I still can't believe I died." I said. "Yeah, it was hard on all of us, considering we all thought you wouldn't make it." Esmerelda said. "I'm sorry you thought I was gone for the last time." I said. "That's okay. It's that Humberto Diaz's fault." Esmerelda said. "I suppose you never know when your last day is, so you need to live life as best as you can while you have it." I said. We just sat there for about ten seconds, when Esmerelda leaned close to me, and kissed me. I was in absolute shock, but it truly wasn't that bad. She stopped after about six seconds. "I'll see you in the morning captain." She said, hopping off the roof. "I'll see you then." I said.

THE END
