My belief that we will be seeing new staves in the next update or so originated as a question as to whether or not it was planned. Then, I started a discussion asking the forums if they thought we would see new staves and the majority said maybe. The purpose of this thread is to inform you of all the facts and hints that point towards new staves. So let's take a look at it all.

In the Account of History Part 2 a powerful staff is mentioned. If you take a closer look near the end of the letter, a seemingly innocent statement is made: "He entrusted his legendary voodoo staff to me". Intriguing isn't it? I believe that this may be more than a simple story. I made this point in my last post regarding this topic.

In Tales of the Homesick it is mentioned that Jolly Roger is looking for something. Now this could be unrelated, but perhaps he is looking for the legendary voodoo staff like he looked for El Patron's weapons. This theory is further supported by the last line of Havoc and Hard Times, which says that "the Undead would need Voodoo for only one thing...they be searching for something. Something powerful..." The same thing is mentioned in The Gypsy, The Pirate, and the Volcano.

In Dev Stream #8, new voodoo staves are mentioned. Also, a staff and a doll appear on the thumbnail for #8. It is said that there will be redeem codes provided when the game re-launches. It is possible that the codes may be for some new staves.

Havoc on Hard Times and The Gypsy, The Pirate, and The Volcano are about Padres, and most likely referring to the Headstone. However, we don't know about Tales of the Homesick. It could possibly be a legendary staff, but it's anyone's guess

Very interesting theories! I must say I have had the same thought, though the more I think about it, I don't think Tales of the Homesick is referring to the Legendary voodoo staff, though that would be really cool how they connect. I'm interested to see where these all lead in the future.

"A sword is only as powerful, as its wielder's heart." - Crude, Common, Rare, Famed, or Legendary. Any find is nothing in comparison to the enjoyment of finding it with friends.
