if you're talking about in-game, the rear slowly goes underwater. it's kinda lame, imo.

They should make the ship explode from the cannons and shatter to pieces and slowly fall back into the water. (Kinda like fireworks)

This just reminded me of something, after defeating a flagship didnt all the sails use to fall off when the ship went up in a BIG EXPLOSION?

Yeah, we used to put explosives on the ship and when the ship was about to go down (flagships) you could see the flames burst from the ship and the ship would go down.
