Question Thoughts on what the new bone materials might be used for?

With the addition of The Hallowed Woods coming up rather soon, I want to know people's thoughts on what the new bone materials might be used for.

I assume it will most likely be part of, if not an important part of the quest line for the Hallowed Woods.

My guess for its use is maybe to at the very least help defeat whatever evil is in the Hallowed Woods, but also afterwards maybe to get new weapons or some sort of buff for your pirate. The bones most likely will be used like normal materials, in that you need a certain amount of each to get whatever the loot requires. It may also be used like a currency to buy things, but this is less likely in my opinion.

Idk if any of this makes sense, so let me know what you think the bones might be used for!
 
Thinking it could be used as either to make something like potions or to cast dark magic onto your ship or weapons. Something specifically to use against only skeleton enemies since that's what it all looks like to fall under that category.

I could definitively see something like weapon enchanting being a use. Of course it would probably act like potions and be temporary.

Hmm, I would not say it is impossible. Although I do not see how sailing would play a role in this new area, the content team is very good at making everything connect so we will just have to wait and see. I hope so! :)

I'm curious as to what kind of new sailing items you would be interested in. Care to share your ideas? And how the bone materials would be used

The sea charms feature a skull on them. Maybe if you have one of the sea charms and some bones you could make a new sea charm that has a skull & bones on it. The new sea charm would be slightly more powerful than the original sea charm.
Possible new items? I would like to see a bone themed cannon ram. It would be something like a thigh bone with a skull at the end. Most likely it would buff fury. This item may or may not be legendary, but it would definitely be difficult to obtain.
That is all I can think of at the moment. Do you have any ideas, Katnypp? :)
 
It would be interesting if you could use the bones to be able to add a cursed attribute to any weapon of your choosing, it costing more depending on the weapon, but that would just be too good.
