Question Throw vs Long Valley? Grenade confusion

*Throw vs Long Volley

I hope this question hasn't already been asked, but I searched the forums and on Google -- to my surprise, I found no thread asking for clarity on this, since players ask about it in-game all the time.

So, does the rank of Throw affect the damage of Long Volley?

For example, if I release a fully charged Long Volley, will this attack do more damage if Throw is also Rank 5 rather than Rank 1? Or are these skills independent?

I want to say the basic throwing skill will strengthen Long Volley like the basic shooting skill strengthens Take Aim, but small differences in wording between Long Volley and Take Aim make me wonder.

Has this debate ever been settled yet?

I see. I presume it doesn't matter which ammo you're using either, be it the basic Explosive or Siege Charge?
