TLOPO, Forum and IRC Chat Staff Appreciation Day

In the IRC chat, Johnny Telltale, blamboo and I wanted to create an annual 'holiday' for appreciating the staff, since they don't really get enough, in our eyes, and it would be nice to have a day purely just for them, a nice little thank you. We decided that the day would be November 26th (that's today, the day we posted this), and all I ask is that you at least reflect on what a great job the staff has done, even post a comment, or even a thread! They're amazing people, and we want them to really get the credit they deserve.
So every year, make November 26th our TLOPO, Forum and IRC Chat Staff Appreciation Day, or just Staff Appreciation Day!
They deserve all the love in the world for their hard work.

With the staff always having to deal with the negativity so we don't have to, I think an appreciation day is well deserved for them. They're working hard to bring the game back, and we're all grateful - hopefully this helps drown out some of the negative experiences for them!

Honestly think this should be September 11th when alpha was brought out but really it doesn't matter, all that matters is that there is an appreciation post. Anyways... I would like to thank each and every one of the TLOPO staff from spending their days making the game to helping us out with our questions. I am grateful for them because they spend hours and hours of their own time making a game for us when they could be doing other things. They do not ask for anything in return and no matter how ungrateful or grateful we are they continue to make this game FOR US. They are not doing it for themselves because if they were they could just run their own private servers and make it a lot easier on themselves. I am also grateful for the IRC/Game mods because without them we would have out of control freaks going around ruining the game for us. They spend their time keeping the game safe without anything in return and are completely unselfish for doing that. Each and every one of them plays their part in bring back our game, I am grateful because without them we would not have this game back - with all the wonderful people that come with it.

I forgot to add in my own thank you! Well, we've got the other thread I made over a week ago, so I'll keep it short and do another.
Thanks for helping me settle in, from the greeters to the IRC mods. Even if I haven't actually played the game yet, as I joined after alpha closed, you guys have made the wait feel like milliseconds.
You're all amazing, and I hope you know you're doing amazing work!

i know it is 9/11 but it makes the most sense with tlopo, either that date, whenever beta comes out, july 30th when the irc opened, or september 19th when alpha/potco closed

Sorry about that. We wanted the idea out on the forums as fast as possible, we didn't really think about possible dates. Hope you understand :/
 
Okay, here is my experience. I think ya'll are correct in having a staff appreciation day! I think they should also take the day off from having to deal with the lot of us. I have been a part of this community for awhile now, and what I love, better than the original game...our developers/forum mods/IRC mods totally and literally ROCK!!! Whenever I have a question, or comment, or anything at all whether it's in regards to TLOPO or some other stuff on programming suggestions...they are always quick to respond and comment. We are tight knit. That's what I love so much about TLOPO. We aren't just all out to kill each other, etc....those of us who are consistently here know we can always count on the staff to be there for us and let us know everything that is going on.
So, cheers, *lift a glass* to our wonderful staff!!
