tortuga is very buggy when loading in first time idk why

The lag is common, please try setting your game options to low and muting the in-game sounds to help improve your performance.

Just tortuga? It could be the players that afk at the docks that could be causing lag as well as to what mmdr said. Try going to quieter servers as well

Try changing some settings.

I would do:

Fancy loading screen off.
Play in windowed mode.
Someone said turning off audio helped them but I have not tried that yet.
Don't click out of the tab. That results in a crash 90% of the time with me.
Also try switching up your servers
