Discussion trash talk in tlopo

so for the first time on this game i recieve glorius messages from two not one but two keyboard warriors, keep in mind i play for fun and was minding my own buissness, i will not state player name nor guild, but i want to know is this a common occurence? Ive made a lot of allys and friends on this game and this was my forst encounter here. Why would someone talk trash on this platform?
 
If a player was harassing you or breaking the Terms of Service in any way, please make sure to report them! It helps moderators track down the trouble-makers and ensure everyone's experience remains clean :). Sorry you had this experience with them, I hope your future endeavors go better - feel free to PM a staff member or email support at any time to request assistance with anything!

It is not part of the community usually everyone is very convivial and polite, in all the years I've been around I've only come across a couple of questionable "attitudes" and "chat" in game.

On a slightly lighter note, one of the most harrowing experiences I've ever had was by chance wandering around the shores of Tortuga many years ago and coming across a "band of unruly pirates" gathered around their GM. As fate would have it I was dressed in exactly the same combination of clothes including circus breeches and chequered jacket! These pirates quickly turned into a frightening "lynch mob" who pursued me screaming "Kill Him!, Kill Him!" it is something I try not to recall... but be careful out there!

Unfortunately, trash talkers exist on any and every platform, even on a remake of a Disney game. If the comments were minor, the best way to deal with it is to ignore them and be on your merry way. However, if you feel that they are breaking the Terms of Service (such as using inappropriate words or harassing players in-game), feel free to report them. Moderators will bring swift justice -- they want to keep the game a clean, fun place for everyone.

I feel that in general, however, the TLOPO community is quite friendly. Reporting toxic players can help keep it that way!

thanks and these two hooligans were same clan aswell, just keyboard warriors i say

I agree the community is like one big friend group like the military, or police, working together in fine unison, but yeah there are a few hooligans and best to report them

Ah its ok what harm can words do, though other players might not be like me, thanks for the advice

I agree too the community is a generally very friendly place bar this dumb incident

Is there a list of controls in game somewhere? I had no idea of this, and Print Screen isn't a great alternative if you have a second screen plugged in.
