Unreal Engine 4

Many of you have probably seen this logo. It is the logo of the game engine used for many games, including Thief, Dishonored, Bioshock, Dues Ex, Batman: Arkham's, and plenty of other popular games.

In the past, this game engine used to have a large loyalty and a monthly subscription to use, but now they are down to a measly 5% royalty fee of $3000 every quarter. This means if your arent making $3000 dollars every 3 months, you owe them nothing! And if you do make more, its only 5%, which is only %150 if you make $3000.

This game engine has proven it is more than capable of running on next-gen consoles, and with this low cost, we will be seeing much more from it.

Unreal Engine is used in a lot of games. It's a pretty popular engine.
It was even used to create Borderlands, If I'm not mistaken.

When I first started playing with Unreal Engine it was free. As time went on I checked back up on UE, and saw it was under a subscription. I'm so happy they've done away with that.

They've also implemented the Marketplace, which is much like Unity's Asset Store. I think UE is really stepping it up, and trying to get the engine used more widely by indie devs. Looking forward to seeing where they go ;)
