So just out of curiosity which ship is the weakest one that allows upgrades? And what do upgrades even do?

And as long as I'm asking 1 question here, I'll ask 2, how do I level sailing easiest?

as for leveling sailing the easiest would be running material runs with a full 50 percent crew bonus.

If you know someone with a warship, ask them if you can use it to level up sailing faster
