Suggestion Visible enemies steering their ships

Hi there, I played the original POTCO and I remember there used to be enemies you could visibily see steering their ships. I remember you could shoot your cannonball at them and kill them. Playing TLOPO now, though, I no longer see that. I think that'd be a great addition to add back to the game, make it that more unique and fun. In addition, ships broadsides could damage players using cannons, that also is removed. I believe re-adding both of those mechanics to the game would really make sailing more interesting and fun for all the pirates out there!

i seem to remember that you could hit their helms man.
but yeah thatd be neat if you could be hit while at the cannons

I remember that. We used to take the Captain NPC out with our cannons. We could also blast holes in the sails and make a smiley face. In SVS we could see people on the ships and hit them with chain. Great fun!
I don't know why they ever took that feature out.
