Idea Voiceovers.

Something that's always kind of bored me about PotCO was the lack of voiceovers, apart from the few cutscenes we see during the game.
So I wondered if we could people to do some fan voiceovers of the NPCs? (For when speaking to them during quests etc.)

I, for one, would gladly volunteer meself as a female voice. :)

I always assumed that once the initial budget was spent, Disney didn't want to hire voice actors any more.

You know that was the actual Mr. Gibbs who recorded the Chapter 2 intro? I'm guessing there was LOT of voice work we'll never hear too. But then all the later quests... zippo.

Oh, probably. The amount of money that needs to be shelled out to voice actors by union laws (and including residuals) was probably enough for Disney to close the book on that one. It isn't THAT crazy for what Disney can afford, but for a game I don't think they wanted to invest that much money into, I can see why they wouldn't focus on that aspect of game development.

Voice overs would completely change the atmosphere of the game therefore I'm completely against this. Nice idea though.

I doubt that voiceovers would change the game to THAT extent. I think it would just make quests more enjoyable.

Obviously there "usually" shouldn't be voiceovers, but when it comes to important scenes it might make sense.

The only downside to me for this is, if the voices are cringy i'll just skip the cutscenes if they're going to be filled with cringy voice acting.
I highly doubt they would use any unpleasant voices for voiceovers. I am sure there are talented people with wonderful voices in this community. If they were to do this and allow community members to do the voiceovers, then they would probably hold auditions (effectively filtering out all 'cringy' voices).

I mean even some professionals make me cringe.
