Idea Voiceovers.

Internet Pirate is onto something. Many otherwise amazing Skyrim mods have suffered because of unpleasant voice acting, or even good voice actors with bad mics. I can support this idea but only if the voice-overs are consistent with the rest of the game (quality wise, e.g. same volume, tone of voice, accents, noise or lack thereof). It doesn't have to be perfect, but there needs to be standards to follow.

Voiceovers would be a pleasant addition to the game, but only if they are done right.
They have to sound like the characters very closely in order to not make this a catastrophe.
As for new voices, we need to find people suitable for the job.
A person who is chosen to voice Crazy Ned, for example, would need to sound like a crazy middle-aged man.
If they ever give Mood Rock the chance to speak, here is my audition tape (Apologizes for the background noises):

Whoa buddy NSFW spoiler, didn't need to see gore today.

Ned could sure use a voice, don't know about the existing characters. We might get lucky, but I wouldn't count on it.
Disney hired a guy that sounded like the real Jack, in the tavern scenes for example that's not Depp speaking. I don't know if they did the same for the other characters, but in any case, it must have taken a lot of auditioning.

Sorry about the gore video. When you have no color in your life, death becomes conventional.

But yes, finding someone with a voice for an existing will be rather tricky, and there should be no room for differentiation.
Otherwise, we end up with two different sounding voices portraying the same character.
For characters who currently do not have voices, it will be much easier, but they should still be careful about choosing people for voice acting.
A bad voice actor is a worse addition to the game.

I don't want any voice acting. Even if they were good, and even if they were up to par with the game's style and quality, they would still feel out of place to me.
