I personally don't have a favorite but one thing I do like to do is stand between some Thralls and shoot them with a pistol. The first shot they run over to me and I kill them in the second shot, so they leave their treasure at my feet. I'm lazy.. I don't have to move at all

Depends on Level , For Tormenta It Is not the gold room , It's the ship wreck room with 6 froes , Melee weapons on the Seaberads , then when and If they become Mulusks I use Grenades on them .

P.S. If I'm leveling I often don't pu the loot ..... not that good for wasted time when trying to grind levels !

Definitely the gold room and a good spawn of thrall captains/seabeards in the shipwreck room of Forsaken Shallows, but when cursed blades are out of the question, I'm fond of the mercenary hall spot in the Catacombs I found as well. Not particularly a fan of the North Idol but it's where I'm stuck at the moment.

LOL! I'm lazy too and do that with pretty much all enemies while leveling guns, nades, staff and daggers.
My favorite spots change depending on my level.
Below 10, I like the caverns at Port Royal and Tortuga.
Between level 20 and 30, I enjoy the 9 mercenaries in the catacombs, for swords and dolls, since you can attack all 9 at once with swords and up to 5 at a time with the dolly.
The catacombs in general is my favorite place up until about level 30, where I shift over to the Cove and Tormenta.
At Tormenta, the shipwreck with the Seabeards and Mollusks is another fav since there are 7 of them within easy reach and 2 more within range in the hall between the wreck and the Thrall room/pond.
But I'll be honest that any place with multiple enemies withing range works for me, depending on weapons and skill/notoriety levels.
Finally, at level 40 and up I like the Thralls and any other challenging enemies.

It depends on the level for me
up till level 10 I'm usually in Fort Charles or questing
then level 11 to at least 20 I'm in Kingshead
then 20 to at least 28 I'm in Isla Perdida
then after that I'm at Isla Tormenta or Sailing
in Tormenta I start out in the area before the bridge then move up to the bridge to the gold room then finally to the thrall room (depending on whats available on the server i go to)

I used to run around El Patron's Mine, but my new favorite looting spot is the ramp in Forsaken Shallows with the four Thrall Captains. If you aggro one, all four attack you.
