I remember the old game quite well but what is there to do in the Alpha version of the game? I have played for just a little and only managed to make potions, repair ships, and fish.

There's not a ton to do in alpha right now.
You can fish, make potions, repair ships, buy clothes, buy tattoos, play card games, form a crew, and explore the islands. I think that's it for the time being.

Ahoy Brandon!
We have released all the islands, potions, fishing, blackjack, poker, and ship repair. Once sailing has the bugs worked out of it, it will be re-added to Alpha. You can purchase clothes and tattoos, use a dockworker to travel between islands (as well as teleport), visit Peddlers for more clothes, and create or join a crew.
