The buildup to an invasion was the coolest thing in the world back then... Huge crowds, people running around frantically for crews, the sky all dark, people shooting and swinging around swords and grenading for no reason...

It would always get me super hyped up. :D

the invasions were cool but a lil crazy at times.... ever been attuned by an unseen adversary...go under the island and you see them ;) me i enjoyed the Pearl mates... i would drive it backwards so them bloody ol blokes could hear me coming lol

My favorite part were invasions for sure. Nothing more enjoyable than defeating Jolly Roger and his servants but also I liked questing too :)

Amazed that "sailing" is not an option. I enjoyed the loot from it, but gold runs (shooting all skeleton ships till hull full of RC's) followed by mat runs till the hold was refilled were my dynamite favorite. I also totally dug boarding the Colossus--that was almost essentially best of both sea and land fighting combined.

Invasions were a ton of fun for me, but my all time favorite was sailing, especially with an entire crew on a giant ship, plundering any navy, eic, or jolly rodger ships we came across. Plus the music is awesome out there! Another thing that was really fun was exploring raven's cove at night when you're way underleveled. Me and a group of friends explored in raven's cove and pretended it was a zombie apocalypse on the island! We all had blunderbusses and pretended we were the last of humanity. It was fun until the ghosts came and ruined all of our fun. We even were able to get to the place where you require a key to get to! We explored and explored, till our whole crew died! Good times...

I had a special interest towards sailing none of my friends had. When I recommended they all jump on my War Galleon to go plunder ships, only a few would come on :(

Invasion for me, I always enjoyed blowing up the undead with powder kegs on them. Especially when they were next to Jolly Roger, killing him with his own special forces always gave me a good laugh.
